Is it OK to have a can of powdered formula and glass baby food jars in my carry-on?

I carried on glass jars of baby food w/ no problem.

Don't know about formula, never used it.

When we needed to travel with powder formula it saved us a lot of space to carry it in a zip lock bag, with the scooper in the bag. The can takes up way too much space. Also, some of the baby food comes in the plastic containers, so that would be lighter and less likely to break!!!

A good way to cushion glass baby food jars in a carryon is to slip them into socks.

When I had babes (two are six-footers now and the other two catching up fast), I sometimes scooped the powder into the bottle and carried it that way when I was sure water would be available. When it was time to eat, I just added water and shook. Since planes always seem to have bottled water, that might be a good solution.
