We are going to DLP for 5 nights on the 18th November! ...so excited!

We will have our 9 month old son with us who still only eats puréed food.
I've been told I can't take baby food jars with me as I would have to open each one at security and the same with ready made cartons of formula.

I'm not keen on putting them in our luggage for the weight and Incase they open and spill onto our clothes.

So how do I take baby food/formula with me?
And can it be bought when we are there?

Thanks

can you not take pouches instead of jars to cut down on the weight, and I'd always put all that stuff in my hold luggage, well wrapped in bubble wrap if you have to.

I think you'd have to put them in case, especially at least the formula, that's not going to open, and if you get pouches instead of jars then they will be lighter, you could put them in a bag inside your suitcase of you're worried.

We're going the same time as you (get there on the 15th) and I have a six month old. We're driving though so it's not a problem for us,
Also have you tried the dried foods? Im taking porridge for my LO breakfast and that's really light, I know you can get savoury ones too, just means maybe taking a thermos of hot water with you in the park and some sandwich bags to put your dried stuff in x

Also we're only taking cartons for while we'll be in the park, we're taking powder formula to make up for him for morning and bed time so that might be an idea too,
I think you can buy baby food there but personally I won't be happy not to understand the ingredients properly and would be worried incase my LO didn't eat it and we were stuck with nothing!
Are you staying in a Disney hotel? As they have yoghurt on the breakfast that could save you bringing breakfast stuff x

Why airport are you flying from?

When we flew with DD when she was still on formula we bought the milk cartons in SuperDrive after security. You can ring a yea of time and pre order so they have enough for your trip. I know boots also offer this. You could also pre order purée jars, nappies wipes etc

We are flying from manchester!

I think I might take some pouches in our luggage as they are not as heavy as jars and probably just take the formula too in our cases as long as it is wrapped up well.

I will probably buy some the other side of security as well.

Thanks!

you could put the pouches/jars inside a large plastic tub in your suitcase so they are less likely to get squashed or broken. use a tea towel or something to pad the box as extra protection. It also means if they do burst open the mess will be contained in the box and not all over your clothes
