thanks for the nice comments, trying to loss a little weight, but with all the summer parties and camping, it is not that easy.

we had a great time, will be up today.

Well, just in case you have not seen or heard about this movie, Here is the trailer for it CLICK HERE!

When you watch the movie trailer, the part that it shows with him talking to the reports, and when he kicks open the door on the guard that is looking through the opening, that is where some of hte pictures are taken that i will show you later on the premier night.

So a little background, on what happened up to the premier Last spring, they were filming part of the movie in our city, Everyone was really excited with all the hype and Johnny Deep coming to town. Before they started filming in the jail, i was allowed to go in and check things out a little bit, while they were cleaning things up.

Then during the filming, i told the security guard where i worked, and he said okay come on in, and i was able to go on the set with candi and some guys from work for one of the days, it was pretty exciting, we meet some of the actors in the jail house scene, i talked with Johnny Deeps stand in double...he also had a stunt double for the movie.

So that was pretty neat, and then we got some officail movie set water bottles, that say water of the stars on them, and the movie info on it, pretty neat.

So Last week was the US premier of the movie in Chicago, where they did alot of the filming, and Universal Studios authorized a special VIP movie premier to be held in our city at the building next door to where they filmed the movie. This building is called the halls of justice, and is the actual court room that the real John Dillinger was when they were talking about his trial in the movie.

The premier was Tuesday night for us and the movie opened nation wide on Wednesday.

Here we are arriving at the parking location, they had a old fashion trolley taking people to the red carpet, but we had someone pick us up from the parking lot in a 8 passanger golf cart and take us there

Here we are riding over.
DSC08926.jpg

When we had arrived to the red carpet, we had friends and people that knew us that were up there watching people arrive, and they all started yelling and screaming when we showed up, it was hilarious, people in line started to turn to us, and the proffesional photographers for the event, turned and started taking pics of us right away wondering who we were.

Here is the party that we went with, it is my sister and her husband, his parents and my BIL's sister that went
DSC08928.jpg

When we arrived they gave us these one of a kind passes from universal studios that had the spots for them to punch through the bullet holes when we did something that night.
DSC08969.jpg

Anyways, onto the old sheriffs house, which was the location of the movie filming and the actual location where John Dillinger broke out of while being held there. When inside there was a sign for not taking pictures, but that did not stop me.

Here was one of the cells that they used in the movie.

DSC08929.jpg

Here is the room, and the location where Johnny D. was filming when in the jail.
DSC08930.jpg

While yo uwatch the trailer, and see J.D. kicking open the door into the guard, this is the room that that is taken place at.
DSC08932.jpg

After we toured that, we were lead down a long hallway, to the location of the jail where the actual John Dillinger was held and escaped from.
DSC08933.jpg

And these were the cells that he was held in.
DSC08934.jpg

I was very lucky to get these photos, they had Jail staff all over the place, watching to make sure that you did not take pictures, I was as smooth as i could be.

Over all, we saw every location where they filmed the movie, along with the locations of where the actual jail break took place.

So it was really cool to see it, we were also give passes to come back and get a more in depth tour of the location and more of the history of what happened at a later time.

This is the outside of the building with my sister and BIL
DSC08936.jpg

One of the old cars that was in the movie.
DSC08935.jpg

Candi next to another car that they used in the movie, you can see the film people set up on the carpet behind her.

DSC08939.jpg

DSC08941.jpg

One of the police cars from the film.
DSC08940.jpg

Inside the Hall where the VIP party was held next door...candi was one of the sponers, She provided Avon Stuff for the goodie bags that we got, so she was on the sponsers listing
DSC08943.jpg

Once inside, we went to the food table, and here was the ice sculpture that was on the table.
DSC08944.jpg

A closer look at the top, ther was a old time hat and tommy gun carved into the top of it.
DSC08945.jpg

During the event.
DSC08949.jpg

And here is the presenters, talkinga bout the evening and some of hte prizes they were giving out.

DSC08948.jpg

This was a replica tommy gun, and two bullets, and casings from the actual guns that John Dillinger stole from the jail when he broke out that were being auctioned off, ended up going for 3,500 dollars, which was donated to the jail for continued restoration.

DSC08946.jpg

Here is candi going back down the stairs as we were getting ready to leave to go to the theater to watch the movie.
DSC08951.jpg

Hang on, i have more pics that i am going post right now.

So we were walking outside, and one of the local county Sheriffs office, one from our county, and the neighboring county, each have one of the original tommy guns that John Dillinger stole when he broke out of the Jail in 1934, well, he talked about it inside the party.

Turns out he actually brought it along with him, and had it available for us to hold.

first another car from the movie.
DSC08953.jpg

This is one of the handful of times that it has ever been allowed to be held by anyone other than the sheriff.

First up i let candi hold, it while she gave me her purse to hold, that is what i am settind down on the car.
DSC08955.jpg

Or course i was looking at the other camera in this picture.
DSC08956.jpg

Then the sheriff had to walk in front of me for this pictures.
DSC08957.jpg

finally a good one, i promise iam not pointing it at candi, it is out in front of her.
DSC08958.jpg

So that was pretty cool to hold that gun, it was very heavy.

Then we drove off to the theater to watch the movie, it was cool walking in, we had our own entrance, and people were staring at everyone in the screening all dressed up.

They were all like i wonder what they are doing here, and who are those important people, just like we were in Hollywood.

They brought the cars over to the theater and stored them outside while we watched hte movie.
DSC08959.jpg

DSC08960.jpg

Alot of the stuff we got that night was limited edition just for our Premier which made it a little bit cooler, here is the bags with stuff we got that night.
DSC08962.jpg

DSC08963.jpg

DSC08965.jpg

DSC08966.jpg

A good amount of the stuff we got, we have at least 2 of everything from that night.
There is an original piece of the brick from the jail.

DSC08964.jpg

DSC08967.jpg

So that about wraps it up, we also got free drinks and food at the theater.

I thought the movie was really cool, and it was neat to see scenes and locations that we recognized and knew where they were.

And to see the places in the jail that we were standing in a mere 2 hours ago.

I recommend going out to see it, it was neat to see the whole story tie together on film.

There were rumors that Johhny D. or Christian Bale, would be there for it, but turned out they were not. Which was okay, because i think that it would have taken away from the evening a little and made it really crazy with people going nuts over them.

Before the movie started, they had people in the audience stand up to be recoznized that were in the film...and there was about 10-15 people there that were in the film, from reporters, to cops, to people in the jails that were in the film. so that was neat.

Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
