Anybody else seen the baby ducks near Peter Pan's flight in Fantasyland? We saw them a couple of weeks ago. They were swimming and trying to climb a little waterfall near where the skybuckets used to be. If anyone took a picture of them, I would love to have a copy.

Awwwwwwww...:lovestruc I just love baby ducks!
Last year, we watched a family of ducks swimming around Aunt Polly's and they were so cute! I'm sure if there are any new babies around, dd and I will spot them next week.

Did I day NEXT WEEK? OMG! I'm going to Walt Disney World!

I *think* I have a pic of the ones that were near the Riverboats from last weekend. I will look and see and PM you if I do have the pic.

Were they not just too cute???

I saw some last week near the raft for Tom Sawyer Island. They were adorable-no pics though.:(

I didn't see them at MK, but my DW and I were literally "swamped" with some at Flame Tree @ AK about a week ago. "Mom" was taking the young-un's for a walk and we just happened to sit down. There were about 7 or 8 fuzz-balls surrying all over our feet, looking for a handout! They quickly attracted a huge crowd.

YUP!
The whole family mom and all her little ducklings came to hang out with me while I was smoking at the rest area by POTC. They stayed for 5 minutes then walked up the little hill behind the McDonlads FF cart....I DO have a picture of them just waiting to get it back

I have a picture of a mama duck and babies that were in the main pool at POP Century on Sat the 15th. No one around the pool I was going to grab a drink at the food court and there they were. At first just sitting on the ledge in the water and then they took a swim out about 15 feet. It is such a peaceful picture. I will attempt to post it but not sure how.

Do you mean like this little guy that was swimming over by the Tomorrowland bridge? :p

We always go to WDW in May. There are always baby ducks somewhere.
Mamas are teaching them the finer points of resort living.

Early morning swims at Stormalong Bay or any of the other resort pools. Whatever chemicals they use in the pool certainly must control mites & fleas.....making baby ducks much more comfortable.

Begging & checking out for goodies at any of the tables where ther is food. french fries are always good! small children are always dropping crumbs. Folks will chase the sparrows away but never the baby ducks.

Stay on the shady side of the docks and practice swimming. Most of the resorts have duck food machines along side the docks.... More gets purchased & thrown if there are babies around. so if mama keeps her babies close, folks will feed them all more.

Sandy beaches are fun to roll in... helps with the mites & fleas too.

Park ducks don't get the advantages of the pool & beach, but you can be sure they get more dropped goodies.

These pictures were taken a few months ago (March 15th I believe actually) in Frontierland, where there were so many ducklings that I just had to stop and take a picture. Just click on the links below and you should be able to see both of them.

-If I click on the links they dont work, but for some reason if you type in the address it works. So if anyone has a little extra time on your hands, you can try it.

Or you can right click on the link, and pick "copy shortcut" etc.

Those are such cute pictures!

YES! DH and I were there on May 12 and saw them! They were walking with the mama duck in the area between Ariel's Grotto and the Mad Tea Party. We tried to get a pic, but a child was chasing them around and we were not able to get a good shot. I actually thought it was quite rude of the parents to allow their child to chase the ducklings. I felt sorry for them. They had to be scared.

Yup, we saw them in Frontierland. Here's a picture of Mom with all of her kids from back in April. Boy, I'd hate to have to feed a group that large, especially in DW! :)

It was very cute when we first saw them. One of the ducklings got seperated from mama duck and started crying "waaah. waaah." It cried for a little while before mama duck heard it and started quacking at it.
