Hopefully in March I'll have to change my login name (no more DINKS). I just found out that I'm very early pregnant. I'm also very high risk and allergic to exposure to sun. I've always just dealt with the sun poisioning rash before, but now I don't want to risk problems. My doctor is allowing me to go to Florida on the condition that I rest every two hours and avoid sun at all costs. Do you think they'd allow me to use the baby centers when we're close to them? Also, I know that some people with sun problems have gotten an assistance card in the past. Is this something I can do for this trip? Do I need "proof" I realize parts of this topic have been done before but now I'm very nervous. Thank you.
, In answer to your question I do not think they will have a problem with you using the babycenter for a rest. It is very cool and there are a few places to sit and relax. We have found that there are many places to sit and rest in airconditioning if you are willing to take the time to do it. I would suggest going back to your hotel at peak sun hours for a rest as well, although not quite as fun well worth the inconvenience. I am a labor and del nurse and as far as your sun allergy I do not know much, but I can tell you that you need to stay very well hydrated. You will be burning more fluid and with heat it will be worse. If you have any trouble with nausea and vomiting it will only compund the problem. Lots of water, caffeinated beverages will not hydrate well. Have a great trip and take it easy, there will always be more trips.....eventually.............
