Looking to see if anyone has experience using the centers before park opening. DW would like to nurse/pump around 830 and would prefer she isn't left to do it in the car.

In March, we had a diaper explosion-entire outfit change situation waiting for MK to open. The CM directed me back out of the turnstiles and to the restroom on the right. He said Baby center and bathrooms past the turnstiles don't open until the park does.

They will not let you into the park until it opens. Now, they typically open MK 10-15 minutes early, usually about 8:50. Can she hold out 20 minutes? Know sometimes that's not possible!

Pumping in the car really isn't a big deal. I've done it too many times to count. Rather than use valuable opening park time going to the baby centre, taking care of business in the car before hand is probably the best option. This also gives you the option to leave things in the car afterwards if your wife wishes to/can. A nice large cover helps when pumping in the car. Also, when pumping on the go like that the Medela wipes help. There's a great thread about this type of stuff on the Family board.

The Baby care centers don't open until the park does.

That said, I don't know what kind of pump your wife has, but it can be possible to not have to be in the car to pump. I exclusively pumped for my daughter, and went to Disney during that time. I had an Ameda Purely Yours pump, which can run on batteries instead of the wall plug. Using that and a nursing cover, I pumped in quite a few places throughout the parks so I wouldn't have to go to the baby care centers and miss out on more of the vacation.

If she doesn't have an Ameda Purely Yours, you might be able to rent one just for the duration of your trip from a local hospital. I used the pump and save bags (instead of bottles) to pump into - they took up less space in the diaper bag!

I wrote out my experience pumping at WDW and wrote out some tips for others who will be pumping there as well - maybe those posts will be of some help to your wife in planning?

If your wife has any questions about pumping around WDW, feel free to PM me any time. I know it can be harder to find information/experiences with pumping, so I'm always happy to help where I can!
