I'm bringing my honorary granddaughter (age 5)!to Disneyland in a couple weeks. She is going to be a big sister in November and her mom thought it would be cute to make some signs to announce the sex of the new baby sister or brother baby and get some pics with characters to send out as the announcement.

First of all, do you think characters would be willing to do this?

If so, does anyone have cute ideas? We were thinking about finding Ariel and using a "another Little Mermaid on the way", or Peter Pan with some kind of Lost Boy reference. Maybe a "sister" thing with Anna and Elsa?

This is a cute idea! I think the characters will be willing to poses with your granddaughter holding a sign or something! You can do Star Wars for a boy, "baby jedi on the way" or with Chewbacca "co-pilot" something?

With the mickey ears you can get small ears for your granddaughter and either baby blue or pink for the baby to be. If you know the name, it can be cute to have it sewed on the ears and your granddaughters can have big sister written on it.

Or you can do something with pink and blue cotton candy, or they have pink or blue mickey balloons.

Just a couple ideas, have fun!

Etsy also has embroidered shirts with Mickey ears and phrases on them. They'll customize the shirt if you give them enough time. I don't have a picture, but when I was pregnant with my twins, we got one for my oldest son and another for me. Mine had their genders on it in the belly area as a mickey and minnie hat while his said something like "future big brother to a Mickey and a Minnie" with 3 pairs of mickey/minnie ears (one for him and one for the gender of each twin).
