Hoping for some opinions on taking our almost 4 month old on the safari when we are there next month. Have ridden this many times myself (including while pregnant) and think that the major jolts are on the collapsing bridge and when they speed up to catch the poachers. As long as we keep his head and back supported at all times, do you think its safe? Also we would have him right in the middle of the bench. It wouldn't be a huge deal to sit this one out, but I would just like other people's experiences before we decide. Thanks in advance! :D

We rode the safari with our 5 month old about a week and a half ago. He was fine. I held him on my lap and sat in the middle of the seat. He fell asleep soon after the start of the trek and slept through all the bumps and turns resting against me, but he was seated on my lap and facing forward, but supported in my arms. I think you will be find as long as you support the baby's head/neck.

In the seat in front of us - a couple got on with a small baby..12 weeks and she also slept..she was resting on mom's shoulder for the entire ride.

Thanks NJMousefan - I felt that he would be fine, but it's always nice to hear it from someone else - thanks again!

We did it when our ds was 7 months old. I had him in the baby bjorn so he was nice and secure. He slept through the whole thing. :)

Thanks aimb! Getting more excited every day - now if I could get him to take just an occasional bottle so I can ride more rides with my older kids!:p
