Oy! Does anyone want a 5 year old???
DS has been Captain Meltdown for several days now - I'm HOPING it is just getting readjusted to school, but still. I had it on Saturday. I was done. Told DH that something is going on and I was chastized for saying his behavior wasn't normal.
DH threw a fit. So, guess who's been having to deal with DS ever since... NOT ME! and he's done... after 3 days! I've totally supported everything that he's done discipline-wise but he gets the lead now.
Should I feel bad that I don't feel bad about this?

Another day off for me! The paycheck tomorrow will hardly be worth the paper it's printed on, but oh well. We'll get by. I'm not sad to be home today!

Don't feel bad at all. Tag team matches in parenting is a must. DH and I had to do that last night with DD12. She seems to think having her laptop is a right, not a privilege. She didn't understand why I was upset that she had me test her on the wrong words for her test, because she knew those words and "thought" they'd be on the test. Then she said she couldn't find the right list, though two copies were just laying on the floor by her bed. So it was lie after lie, then she claimed she never lied.I really hate middle school girls. So much drama and attitude.
I'm still home with my sick DD5. She keeps having a fever around 101. The doctor finally put her on antibiotics because the virus wasn't just working it's way out of her system, so it may be something else.

I feel ya. Being home with DD5 this week has used up all my paid time off and it'll probably be short. Luckily, it wasn't a busy week at work but I hate missing out on so much.

School was called off at 5:30am. Snow/mix was supposed to start at 7am, but it's 9am and still nothing.
