Hey, hey, hey! I gave up on coming over to the boards for some time, because it was way, way too slow. Seems better today.
I came home from the game last night and did the taxes. I filed at 1 am, and they were accepted by the IRS by the time I got up this morning. The big guys sure are working hard getting everything approved. Hopefully this means that by the end of the month, the Disney portion of our trip will be paid for. That only leaves the Universal part. And we only have a couple more hundred on it.
That leaves only the planning part to go. I think we have all of the dining down. I am thinking Sweetie and I will east dinner at Bubba Gump's when we go to City Walk. We are excited about everything. The only thing we are doing at Universal is Islands of Adventure. We are only going for one day, and we think if we like it, then maybe we'll do a Universal trip at some point, but this is just an exposure type thing for us.
I've spent 1/2 of the day writing a resume to keep my current job as low incidence disabilities coordinator. In South Carolina, many of the counties have 3-4 different school districts in it. The poorer counties can't keep it up, so they are consolidating. The county I teach in is one of those. They are consolidating 3 districts. In order to be fair to all district office employees, they are making all do people reapply for their jobs and interview for them. Aggravating, I know, but they want to be fair and this is the fairest way. If I don't get the job, I know I have a classroom job to fall back on, but this job would cut my workload (because I currently have a full time class plus this extra work--no breaks at all for me!) and increase my pay. I am not saying anything about it on Facebook, because I don't want everyone in the county to know I am applying for it in case I don't get it. I don't want to explain what happened to everyone.
Honestly, I am the only person countywide who has the needed qualifications. The director of special education wrote the job description with me in mind. But who knows? They may decide someone is a better candidate.
Anywho, now that I have rambled enough for one day, I hope all of you are having a great weekend!
