Thank you! I've wanted to do a solo for a while now and the stars aligned for this one, quite last minute. I'm really excited.

I hear ya both...

With the weather system stuck overhead and my knee being jacked (not the GOOD Jack... ) up, I've been a lot crabby too.

And living in my (new) sneakers. My trusty well-worn shoes finally bit it last week. But I'm really loving my new kicks - first pair of ADIDAS I've ever owned and I'm quite impressed!

I ended up getting Asics Gel Nimbus and I really like them. They're a bit more narrow than I'm the New Balance I was using but the footbed is much more supportive and comfortable.

I'll be with you in spirit.

1) Apparently the Boo Boo tags have something to do with "Boo Boo Gate 2012" which is another thread entirely, although I was fortunate enough to get mine right here on the Nanner thread.

2) No clue on the books. I must have missed that discussion.

We just got home from Monterey, we went whale watching and now we are so exhausted from a 3 hour drive home.

Our whale watching trip out of Monterey was cancelled last year. Boo! Hiss! And when we walked by the tour operator's office on the pier, the boat was leaving the harbor with a full party. I think he saw a party of 6 vs a party of 3 and cancelled our party of 3.

They're sad. Poor, sad toes.

Speaking of, I need a pedicure before I go on my trip. Trying to decide whether or not to do it at home or treat myself to one.

I try to only buy pins for the events we go to. It helps me remember when we were there.

DS got mad at me in SD because there was a lapel pin that he liked but it was for the 2012 Buffalo Round-Up at Custer. I wouldn't let him get it because we didn't go to the round-up.

I actually think that's kind of nice. I am the same way. I would only buy pins to associate them with a memory of a specific event or trip.
