So, I just need to vent, off FB.

We ended up filling out the app for the house rental. DH and I both have certain mixed feelings about the whole thing but overall, we both really liked the place. So let's apply, see what happens, go from there. He texts the landlord this afternoon just to give him the heads up that we've done this, that he may get a phone call. DH says his reaction was a "little weirded out" and he didn't want to have be renting this place going into winter.

Ok, first of all, the end of September is hardly "going into winter." Never mind that is exactly when WE rented it last year!! If he doesn't want to have to deal with winter rental, he ought to reconsider the month-to-month lease.....there is no clause saying you can't move in winter!

DH told him that IF we get the house (and it's a big "if"), we are certainly going to give him the required 30-days notice. I'm a little annoyed at his reaction. Maybe he's just ticked that he's potentially losing us. But as much as the thought of actually going through a move again makes me want to bleed out of my eyeballs, recent events around here are pushing me towards doing just that (we've had a few things happen over the last week in particular that have left a really bad taste in my mouth).

People.....

----------------

ETA: O-M-flippin'-G......the landlord has OUR apt. listed on craiglist. The wording is "may be available this fall or next spring" and the rest of it reads generally like "when the current tenants make up their minds I'll post an availability..." GROW. FREAKING. UP.
.

Ridiculous. :headache:

Good morning. It's the 1st day of school. I can't believe my son is a Senior. Feeling a little old this morning.

...wow. just.......wow.

Morning, nanners!

Smiley, congrats on the double weddings! That is really excited.

I just got the little man off on the bus to second grade. He was so excited this morning, we went outside 20 minutes early. LOL! Too cute.

.....OUCH! Your poor checkbook!

Kimmar - with everyone talking about how great the books were, I expected it to get better. But it just got worse and more annoying. The writer over used big words to seem intelligent. It reminded me of the guy in the princess bride that kept saying inconceivable.

TK - how sweet that your DS is so excited about school. I bet he will come home just as happy.

Mean Queen, I sure hope so! We had the standard talk about appropriate behavior on the bus and at school. All that little boy energy. :lmao:

That IS too cute. My son was definitely not feeling that way. :lmao:

I know what you mean. My girlfriend's kids were the same way. She told them they had to go back to school today and they both said, "noooooooo!" :lmao:

Every year I would make my kids (now just my son left in school) a nice big breakfast for the 1st day of school. This morning I ask my son what he would like and he responds "coffee, just coffee." :rotfl2:

:rotfl: .....that's about a week of your life that you'll never get back....

...cheap date. [ ;) ]

....unless, of course, it's Starbucks....then you'll need to take out a new mortgage....

No Starbucks around here. I wouldn't buy it anyway unless for a rare treat. Too expensive and I don't like strong coffee. It makes me gag. If they have some tasty frozen thing or flavored latte, I bet I would like that.
