Right now we are booked on the 2017 WBTA and are THINKING about adding on the last Med cruise that disembarks the day the WBTA embarks...If we do that, will we have to pack our bags if we get the same room? Will we have to get off the ship?

Thank you!!

We've just done a B2B out of Barcelona. If you've got the same room you can leave everything in it, if not they will move your stuff for you, and you do have to get off for a short while. You get escorted off, check in for the next cruise then are first back on. Think we were off for about half an hour in total.

It seems like an amazing experience!!!

It really is! :) I can't even describe the almost giddy feeling we had on the morning of our 1st cruise's debarkation, knowing that we didn't have to pack a thing the night before and would stay onboard as everyone else left the ship. When it was time for us to leave the ship for customs' clearance, all we took was our passports, our 2nd cruise's signed documents, and our credit cards just in case we needed them. We breezed through customs downstairs and then went right back upstairs to check in and get our new KTTW cards. Then, a short wait and we were back onboard before anyone else. Nothing is open at this time, so the ship is really quiet. It's a great time to take photos or just relax. Can't wait until we can do it again! :goodvibes

We leave next week for Barcelona and a B2B Med/Trans on the Magic. Hoping we have enough time between cruises to see more of Barcelona. Does Disney let you leave the ship after getting your new KTTW card? We would like 3-4 hours before we reboard. Thanks!

You will LUV a B2B ... we did one aboard the Fantasy a few years ago ... and it was great. The cruise ship staff will provide you with a letter prior to disembarkation day of the first cruise outlining what the steps are for disembarking and reboarding ... you can check with Guest Services for any other questions you may have. People were wondering why we did not take down our stateroom door FE decorations on the last night ... until they saw our B2B sign on the door ... there were quite a few envious comments :) ...

Just be aware that when you do reboard that dining and other services will not be available as the crew are busy cleaning, restocking and preparing for the next group of passengers to board ... but it is so cool having the whole ship to yourself so to speak along with any other B2B cruisers. Our stateroom attendant made sure our stateroom was one of the first ones he serviced during disembarkation day so we had a clean room to return to ... though we found ourselves explaining to the groups of people waiting for rope drop to occur why we could head to our room while they had to wait ... a pixie-dust moment ;)

You will get instructions in your stateroom on the Friday night. Ours stated that if we wanted to leave the ship we had to disembark with the rest of the passengers by 9am and then check in as a new cruiser once check in is open for everyone, so you will have plenty of time to see more of Barcelona. If we wanted to stay on the ship we had to be at Fathoms at 9:30am from where we were escorted off the ship, checked in for the next cruise then escorted back on. It was a beautiful morning so we were content to relax round the (for once!) deserted adult pool but Cove Cafe was open all morning for drinks and snacks.

Enjoy, I am very envious of you, you will be spending nearly three weeks onboard! Our next cruise is only 7 nights and is going to seem very short! ;)

Thanks for all the comments! It seems like a smooth transition and definitely what I am leaning towards doing!!

Yup. :) We embarked in Barcelona for a Med cruise way back in 2005. Everyone was allowed to check in and then debark at their leisure to tour the city. Have a great cruise!!
