We have done a B2B before but on a California cost/Alaskan Cruise and I have herd that the process is a little different at Port Canaveral.

We are looking at doing a 3 night followed by a 4 night on the Dream, can anyone share there experiences of the process etc? Thanks

Sure thing. First best if you have the same stateroom for both. We did not, but were concierge and they moved all our stuff for us. You hang out till the last of the folks get off the ship. We hung out in the port for about 30 - 45 minutes and then back on. Bring your valuables off the ship with you to have as you cannot get into your stateroom until regular times in the afternoon - cameras, phone and iPad would be good ask you can get signal without roaming while in port. We had the ship to ourselves though they are cleaning the hack out of everything and all but like cove cafe for some snacks and drinks are closed including pools. We got great shots of an empty ship and you can likely do the detective game as well. Then you can be the first to get lunch, hit the pools etc as you will be on ahead of everyone.

Our experience with B2B procedures was this:

We received a letter in our room the last night telling us what our debarkation/reembarkation process would be. Telling us we had to be off the ship by 9:30 at the latest. And be sure to bring all necessary documents to check in for the second cruise. We waited in the Concierge lounge and were boarded just prior to Concierge guests about 11:10 (we were off the ship and waiting in the terminal almost 2 hours). We were in two different rooms, so we had to pack up our bags and have them outside our room by 8:00 am on the turnaround day. The room host(s) saw to getting the bags to our next room.

Agree with this, we were off from 9.15 to 10am back on in room at 10.15am. However our host did the deep clean at Castaway the day before so we could use our room.

On a B2B, if you know that you will have the same stateroom host and serving team, do you give tips at the end of each cruise or wait until your final day of the two ?

To clarify my question.....understand that the pre-paid tip will be at the end of each cruise but do you wait until the end of leg #2 to give any discretionary additional gratuity, assuming you will have the same team ?

At the end of each leg. It's possible that room hosts/serving teams can be changed between cruises, for various reasons.

All up to you! If you know somehow you will have the same team, I'd personally wait until the end of the second cruise, and I'll tell them during the first cruise that we will still be there in a few days. Disney will charge your room the standard gratuity paid at the end of your first cruise (unless you make changes to it).

There might always be the school of thought that an extra tip at the end of the first cruise would result in better service during the second cruise. I disagree for several reasons, but whatever floats your boat. And letting them know you will be back gives them the opportunity to tell you if they won't be there (say you just happened to be on their last contract cruise).

Thanks everyone, we are going to see if any special rates come out for January and decide from there weather to do a 3/4 night B2B or a 7 night. Thanks again!!
