B2B - Do I need to call DCL or can I just book myself?

You can simply book them yourself. DCL CMs check to see who is sailing B2B themselves and they inform you of the turnaround procedure without you having to notify them.

In some circumstances, when you search for a room online, it will not show up in inventory because there are too many rooms available in the category you picked. If you picked a room for the first leg, you want it for both cruises and it's not showing up for the second leg, that would be a reason to call DCL. Of course, if it is already booked, they will not change the existing booking to accommodate you.

My Mom and I are wanting to B2B a cruise next Nov. Do I need to call DCL to book this or can I just book myself? Thanks.
We booked back to back online as separate cruises ourselves then transferred them to Costco. Fortunately, we were able to get the same room. I read somewhere that Disney needs to be aware….. contacted Costco and got it all set up. To be sure DCL knows you’re B2B if you book online especially if you’re not in the same room I would call your TA or Disney to be on the safe side. How fun!

There is something the CM can do on the backend to link them, but it has to be done manually by them, just booking two consecutive reservations does not automatically link them to each other.

We done several B2B, always booking them ourselves online, and never did this. We always received our disembarkation instructions and the head waiter visit concerning the second cruise anyway.
 
We ended up booking a B2B2B! After booking, we did go ahead and call and they just made a note on the reservation for the crew. Was it necessary? Idk, he didn’t say one way or the other. But the “wait” time to talk with them was less than 5 min, so it was no hassle and I didn’t mind.
