B resort linking to MDE

So I booked directly with the b resort and bought my tickets through the mde app. I’m wanting to link my resort and have seen where you can however my confirmation is saying invalid . I was told to contact the hotel and ask for a Disney number ( 8 digits beginning with a 2) but they keep saying the one they gave me , which is 12 digits including letters and numbers is all they have . Any help would be greatly appreciated as I keep getting passed back and forth .

Any resolution? Thinking about staying here in November, but I want to be able to make park reservations after booking.
