B Resort and Spa In DTD Area

This is true, which is why I referred to the DTD hotels. But they do have resort fees and parking fees at the hotel like most DTD hotels.
Very true. I missed what you said about being listed on the Disney website.

I also didn't notice the thread was semi-old until being revived today!

That's okay, since the B Resort is so new inside and on property it's a current topic. More info the better.

We just booked for our stay in Feb. The resort looks really nice and we can't wait to stay there.

Has anyone else been there recently?

I too booked the excellent deal from mousesavers for the waived resort fee and parking. Stayed from Dec 18 - 21. The make-over is really nice but I had a terrible experience. Right after check-out, I walked to the self-parking lot to the left of hotel and fell HARD on the painted cement ramp. When it is wet (such as from dew as was the case for me that morning) it becomes very SLIPPERY. Not even 3 min after I fell another gentleman in his 20s slipped up it too - both of us were wearing rubber soles. I fell much harder than he did and was thankfully helped by a teen who ran to get management. I won't get into a drawn out story but in summary - after 2 days at home sore on the couch, I called management because he didn't even care enough to check on me (yes, I gave him my info) and then he said that they were still monitoring that area though he know it was a problem area? It made me angry enough to write a scathing review on tripadvisor. I am still grateful that I didn't break anything and want to make sure that what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else!

We just booked 4 nights here for the end of March. We were able to get the mousesavers rate which they said includes parking and resort fees.

With parking and resort fees included it seems like a good deal for $160 a night in downtown Disney.

Sorry about your fall...

DD#2 and I are staying there Jan 29-Feb 1st. I also booked through Mousesavers but they did have a "Book 2 get 3rd night free" promo on the actual B Resort website. I missed it. GRR! However we are looking forward to the upgrade (which you can also get by noting that you are going to be staying at B on social media - I tweeted it just to be sure we are getting an upgrade).
I will try and remember to cut out a LGMH. Is that still even a thing? :rotfl:

**DH will be home so Tweeting that we'll be away is ok. If no one was going to be at home, I would not have done so.

I just booked a family room with bunk beds through the MS link for this weekend and cannot wait! I'd really love to hear from someone who has used the busses to know if we should drive and park or take the busses to the parks. We don't want to waste a bunch of time waiting around for busses if they are slow.

We are here at the B Resort. Sylvia was at the desk and was super!!! I had reserved thru Mousesavers but my reservation did not show fees were waived. I asked and showed her an email from a fellow DISser. They waived them and actually seemed concerned why it didn't show on my ressie. We also did get $20 off a spa treatment which we are hoping to do. We did get an upgrade but again was not mentioned on my ressie but I had tweeted about it and that's another way to get an upgrade if available. She gave us a choice of pool view w/balcony or tower room w/view of DTD but no balcony. We took pool view although the other room had a loveseat (pull-out bed?). We decided drinking a morning coffee on the balcony was more important. I'm no hotel snob...so far so good!

More to add...the lobby always had water available...one with lemon and lime slices. This could be my new addiction! Free coffee (could be stronger, IMO) available in the restaurant along with a small assortment of organic tea. I stopped and got a muffin from the little snack area. We did get pedicures at the spa, and when dd messed up her polish, she went back and they fixed it, no problem. We used the hot tub one night. Took the shuttle to and from DTD (it did pick up at least some, if not all, of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd, so don't be in a rush) one night; drove the other and did Valet parking. The only thing I didn't like was when we entered the lobby, someone called us over...it turned out to be a time share solicitation as we thought it was check-in. I did mention this on my comments as the only negative.

We just got back from our stay at the B Resort and had a great time. We're used to staying at WBC with our 3 boys, but couldn't get a room there so decided to try out the B with the Mousesavers deal. The hotel and rooms are beautiful. We didn't have time to use the pool but it was very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night after the parks. We decided to order a la carte and although the food was good, it took a loooooong time for our food to arrive. That wasn't pleasant with 3 hungry and tired kids. The free coffee and water was a nice touch and the transportation to the parks was great. It's on the DTD hotels route so our bus was shared with 2 other hotels. The bus came every 30 minutes and was always right on time. It was nice to be able to save $$ on not paying for parking in the parks. All in all we would stay here again if we couldn't get WBC.

To those who have stayed at The B recently...is there a coffee maker in the room? I'm useless without my morning coffee and can't even make it to the lobby to get some! No mention on their website but I have my fingers crossed.

Also I'm curious about the "tweet to get an upgrade" mentioned. How does that work? Need a particular hashtag or phrase?

Thanks,
mizliz

I think my girls (in their 20s) would like the looks of this hotel. Can anyone tell me the difference between the pool rooms and the tower rooms. I think they would really like the little patio thing outside the room. But I seem to remember when this hotel was the Royal Plaza that the pool rooms were less desirable. Any opinions?

The entire resort was pretty much gutted and renovated. I also stayed in Royal Plaza and I couldn't even visualize most of it while staying there. Stayed in Tower with my DS. He just returned with friend and stayed in pool room with patio and really liked it. The patio space has two nice sofas on them. The entire pool area is well done, bar, lots of sofa areas, giant chess set.
