B&P's VR 11/10/2012 UK/AAP/UKDP Day 1 Arrival & Epcot 6/10

Hi Bethie,

I haven't really been on the boards so much recently, so I've just caught up with your PJ.

Your 3 cats are so cute. I love your decks of cards and the towel with the silver imprint, they're wonderful.

I'm glad you didn't have to rant over DJ Chuck and that he's confirmed with you. :goodvibes

I saw the pic of your fairy godchildren and I litrally 'awwwed' out loud. They look so cute in the dresses. The Jewellry they're wearing is beautiful.

Love love love the clutch bag! Love the custom label.

The door hangers a well cool, I love that Paul helped you with them. Perfect teamwork.

Your DIY projects are amazing, just on the bit of your PJ with your tears of joy packets, they came out really well.

The memorial candles look brilliant, it actually brought a tear to my eye when I thought about people who missed my wedding.

Awww! you get to to Disney for your birthday! How exciting.

The baseball bout is great, I don't think I've ever seen anything similar so it's rather unique which is always a fab thing!

Your anniversary ring is stunning, it really is and it goes really with with your personailty and love for pink.

I promise I wont leave it so long before I drop by your PJ again. xxxx

Love what you've been posting, Beth!
I really adore the light-colored suit. I love men who wear pink, so I hope that Paul will opt for the pink shirt. :) Also, that baseball bout is SO COOL. And every girl needs some pink in her life, so I say go for that beautiful anniversary ring--you can't beat the price nor the style! :thumbsup2 Congrats on being less than 10 months now!!! :cool1:

Thanks, Danielle! I have been loving what you are posting too!

We love the light-colored suit too. Just hoping we like it as much when we see it in April. I am hoping that Paul goes pink too. Carolyn Allen's doesn't have pink shirts, so we will have to bring one with us. Not a big deal, but need him to figure it out before the trip. He wears a purple shirt to work all the time, so I don't think it will be that much of a stretch for him. :lmao: I think the baseball bout is cool too. If I can't get the Pats one done, then it's a great fallback.

I am suddenly nervous about the 10 months, like I am running out of time. Need to buckle down and get some stuff done.

Going tomorrow to look at the ring, so maybe I will be able to update with a sold sign! :goodvibes I told Paul that he can't like it just because of the price. :rotfl2:

LOVE the ring!! and what a steal!!
Clearly, I am a PINK girl too! :goodvibes

I did talk to CA's today and they do have a light grey suit we are now renting! So thank you for posting yours!!

Being a pink girl is a good thing. I had noticed that in your plans. :lmao:

Glad you worked out the suit. That's fabulous! Light grey is the other option if the chosen suit doesn't work out.

I am a die hard Harry Potter fan! I totally agree that getting kids hooked on reading is a very wonderful part of them. And there are a lot of similar books out there now, so the transition to Percy Jackson or even The Hunger Games is pretty easy. I completely understand - my brother was not much of a reader but lately I have gotten him hooked on some young adult literature! Even though he is 21. That's one of my favorite things about current YA and children's lit - so much of it is actually appealing to people of all ages. I've been to a few Harry Potter conferences and went to some very interesting academic talks, including some that discussed how Harry Potter is a gateway to other books, how they help children with their reading skills and succeed in school, etc.

So yeah, if you ever want to talk Harry Potter or children's lit, I'm your girl! ;)

Woohoo! Someone to talk HP with! That is very encouraging that reading is not a dying activity. The talks sound fabulous! My friend, Sue, who used to be my boss, she and I used to spend hours in her office talking Harry. I am always up for that. :cool1:

Thank you for the nice comments Beth! You are sooo nice!!!! Thank you so much for sharing that story. That gift was so thoughtful and so perfect for us. This was our first Christmas with our own tree and we love and needed christmas ornaments. I also wanted to let you know that alot of guests have come over and commented on how pretty it is. We LOVE IT! :lovestruc

Oh, Melissa. Thank you! The nice comments were easy when it is so clear how happy you and Peter are. Glad you like the story and the ornament (and your guests did too!). We collect ornaments, so I like giving them to people too.

Ruth! Where have you been! (I already your pj, but had to say that!) :cool1:

Thanks for all the comments, especially on the candles. I am just glad that project is over so I don't have to look at them too much more. It's hard to be faced with it over and over.

I am holding you to your promise, especially so I can read more of your day and trip! Glad you are back. Hope you had a good holiday.

Tomorrow we are going back to the jeweler to see the ring. I am hoping I love it just as much. I am sure I will, but still a bit nervous. I keep looking at it and loving it, so odds are it will be mine! :rotfl2:

My best friend, John, is coming up to visit tomorrow as well and bringing his new boyfriend with him. This is the friend who is not so happy about the plus one situation. Paul and I have decided that if we like Charlie and they are still together when the invites go out, we will include him. This could snowball to the other friend, but we will see on that one. Charlie does like Disney (John doesn't), so that's one positive in his favor. :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! It's gong to be bitter cold up here in Boston, so hope everyone stays warm.

Love the ring!! Are you looking forward to the All-Star game? Both of the coaches are coaching! :)

-I’m so excited you get to stay at the Poly. Now that I’ve stayed at my top 3 hotels, the Poly is my next dream resort.
-Your birthday sounds great. I spent almost the whole day of my 21st birthday at the MK. It was simply magical.
-Can Paul please wear a Mickey vest? Pleasssee?
-You will NOT be going to the MK after O’hana. You will go to your room and put on sweatpants! Trust me!
-I really wish I could go and meet up with you. Blergh.
-That tan suit is lovely. And that player is too!
-Love your creative bout idea. You could also do a pocket square out of a team bandana or something.
-Bethie, I LOVE that ring. I love it. Absolutely love it.
-I think that’s a fair decision on the boyfriend drama.

All right, I am all caught up now!

Bethie sweetie - I love that ring!!! It is soooo pretty!! I also think Paul will look very handsome in the light coloured suit. Things are really coming together now!!

That ring is SO PRETTY!! i think the suits u picked out will go perfectly with ur wedding scheme, they r sharp looking :goodvibes i've never seen that kind flower b4 for the guys... that is so unique 4 him..

Thanks, Megan! Can't believe I found it already. I am really looking forward to the All Star Weekend. I love the Skills Competition! Yesterday was a great game. Really was hoping for the shoot out. I was drooling over both HL and Patrice Bergeron. I was quite the happy girl. :cool1:

*Glad you got caught up and that you have knocked off your top 3 dream resorts. I am very excited to stay at the Poly. Can't wait!
*We spent my 40th at MK and it was a fabulous day! We won't get to head over until after our PS and tasting (I know, poor us :lmao:), but should have enough time to ride Small World and some others and do some shopping.
*What if I wear my sweats to Ohana and then hop on the monorail? We are not typically do something at night kind of people, so this is a maybe at best.
*Wish we could meet up too! Someday!
*I really like the suit for Paul too. Can't wait to see it on him in April. The player, if you want to know, is Dennis Seidenberg. He is kinda cute.
*Paul doesn't want to do a vest or tie, which is fine with me, but I would love to do Mickey, if he decides to do one.
*I love the pocket square idea, if this doesn't work out. Good thinking!
*I love the ring too! What a deal! (Have pics to post later)
*We liked Charlie a lot, so if they are still together, we will include him. Of course, this means that Michele probably wins too (which I hate :rotfl2:).

The ring is GORGEOUS!!

Thanks, Faith!

Only you would understand this. One of my favorite restaurants in Boynton, just opened up in Boston. We have an Ale House! We are so excited! We have been three times already for Zingers. Had to share.

Bethie sweetie - I love that ring!!! It is soooo pretty!! I also think Paul will look very handsome in the light coloured suit. Things are really coming together now!!

Joanne, Thank you so much! I still can't believe I found this ring and the great deal on it. I will post pics of it this week. I think Paul will fabulous in it. Things are coming together. I keep making lists in my head, but really need to get them down on paper and get stuff crossed off. That is my plan for this week.

That ring is SO PRETTY!! i think the suits u picked out will go perfectly with ur wedding scheme, they r sharp looking :goodvibes i've never seen that kind flower b4 for the guys... that is so unique 4 him..

Thank you, Michele! I adore this ring. It looks pretty alone and with my wedding and engagement rings, so I am really happy. Paul loves the suit, so that's what matters. I do too, but since he has to wear it, he is actually more important this time. :rotfl: The bout is actually not a flower. It is made out of a baseball. It's a great backup if my other idea doesn't work. Either way, he wants unique, so that's what he will get.

I need to catch up on everyone's pj, so depending on how exciting the NFC game is, maybe I can get to some. Hope everyone has a great week!

Not sure how I missed commenting on your absolutely gorgeous ring! I love it. The shade of pink is so unique. I just love colored gemstones. Oh, and Paul's suit is nice too...but I would rather have the ring, lol.

I'm not sure how I've missed your PJ all of this time but I just found it. Hi!

I LOVE your ring. When I was getting married I searched high and low for the right pink sapphire band and just couldn't find it so I went with blue sapphires and diamonds. Your ring is stunning! Are you going to wear it on your right hand? I'm thinking that maybe I should look into a VR ring now...lol

I noticed that you are from Boston! I grew up in Boston and lived there for 25 years but we moved to FL 7 years ago. I miss it up there. You guys must be psyched that the Pats are going to another superbowl!

Your clutch and flower girl dresses are adorable. I love etsy too, it is dangerous. I want to buy everything.

That bout is pretty cool. I think you should get it.

WOW! You have a lot going on!

I just got caught up on your PT. You have really got a lot done!!!
Where do I start with my remarks???

-I LOVE you shoes. Both sets. :goodvibes

-your fairy godchildren are beautiful. It seems they are very lucky to have you & your dh. We were married about 8 years before we had children of our own. I can relate to enjoying others children. It is very much fun & I always felt blessed to be allowed to have such a special relationship with them. They are grown men now, and we are still very close.

-love your jewelry & the girls jewelry too.

-couldn't help but pick up on the fact you are a Daisy kinda girl ;) Did you notice the Daisy gown from Maggie line? although I love the dress you picked..which brings me to...

-I SO LOVE your dress. I really really want it. But, as of now we are boarding the plane shortly after renewing the vows, so... I think it may be just a tad too formal for Jetblue. haha

I am going to have to go back over your agenda. We will be there the same time as you. We will be arriving the 9th.

I want to comment also on the fact you are remembering you loved ones gone from this world. The candles are beautiful. I recently lost my Mom & it seems so weird planning any day without her, but especially our VR. But, hopefully you will feel your moms love on your special day.

I love all you DIY items.

The pin idea for each guest is brilliant!

Good luck with the +1's. I know what you mean about not wanting to invite people who criticize your passion for Disney. When we were thinking about having a VR @ disney we were thinking of inviting several people, I kept going back to ....why pay for people to be there that really don't want to be. Why make them feel obligated to be there. But, when all is said and done, more people to experience not just Disney magic, but the magic you and your DH share. Again, good luck.

Thanks again for leading me to the Maggie dress. Perhaps, I will just go try it on. hmmm.... this could lead to an issue....hahaha

Thanks, Justine! I love the ring. It is even prettier than when I first saw it. And you are totally right. Ring vs. Rented suit....ring totally wins!

BTW, not sure if you have started it yet, but I am about halfway through The Night Circus and it is fabulous! Really good. I bought it when I saw yours posted on the Santa thread. :)

Hi Jillian,

Glad to have your onboard. I need to do a better job of keeping up with your pj as you are getting close to your date.

Thanks for all the comments. I am excited that it is all coming together. As for the ring, I plan on wearing it with my engagement and wedding rings. I typically wear my great grandmother's wedding ring on my right hand. (I will post pictures with my next post).

Where in Boston? We are in Medford. Paul grew up here. We actually live in Paul's grandparents house. I am actually from NY, but have lived all over the country. Paul is excited about the Super Bowl. I am Jets fan, so neither team winning is preferrable to me. ;)

I love the ring! Very girls and sweet!

Thank you! I really do love it.

WOW! You have a lot going on!

Thanks for hopping on.

Glad you like the shoes. I am still looking since I really need them to be comfortable, since I have RA. I need to be prepared for every possibility in this area.

We adore the girls and always have. They know that they are very special and use it to their advantage sometimes. :lmao: Glad you can relate to it and have your own special kids.

I love both sets of the jewelry too. Mine looks fabulous with the dress. I also bought the pink set for myself. Couldn't resist it.

I DO LOVE DAISY! Every trip Paul says we have to complete Duck Quest and get our photo with her or the trip just isn't right. One time at MK, Daisy was very excited to see him and actually swooned against a pole when he kissed her hand. :rotfl2:

I did see the Daisy dress, but I really wanted tea length this time around. When I saw the Isadora Ann, I knew she was what I wanted. I saw online that a shop in Malden sells Maggie dresses. Gave them a call to make sure they had it. Went the next day to try it on and bought it right away. The shop is actually right across the street from where Paul works, so I had to tell him not to peek. If you like a dress, could you change before the flight and have a family member take it home for you? Just a suggestion.

We will be at Disney at the same time. What resort are you staying at? Maybe we will see each other.

Thank you for the compliments on the DIY items, especially the candles. I am having a lot of fun with all of them. I just have to start finishing some projects before trying to execute new ones. That is actually part of my goal for this weekend. The candles were a labor of love, just wish we didn't have so many of them. Sorry about your Mom.

Glad you like the pins. They seem to be taking over my house. I really need to get them under control, somehow.

I think we are going to end up adding the plus ones. John brought his new boyfriend, Charlie, up a couple of weekends ago and we really like him. I already told John that as long as they are together that Charlie was invited. I also told him that the invite did not extend past Charlie. Michele, on the other hand, is still a wait and see. I try not to think about it most days. :rolleyes1

Go try on Isadora Ann. What's the worst that could happen???

Just a small update.

I didn't post much last week, but it wasn't the best week. Last Saturday was the 21st anniversary of my Mom's death. The week leading up to it also was a minefield of horrible memories. (She had a brain hemmorage and died 5 days later) This year and last year have hit me harder than the last couple of years. It has been hard to realize that I have now lived more of my life without her than the time I had with her. I was very down for more than a couple of weeks, but thanks to Paul have for the most part pulled out of it. Sorry to be a downer, but I needed to share. Thanks for letting me.

Okay, on to happier things....

I did get my ring!!! Paul and I went down to look at it and he loved it too. He felt it was the perfect ring for me. I picked it up last Wednesday. Paul said I can wear it now and really haven't taken it off since. I love it! :rotfl:

1EAB3BCD.jpg

I plan on wearing it altogether with my wedding and engagement rings.

Jillian asked if I was planning on wearing on my right hand, but I typically wear my great-grandmothers wedding ring on that hand and don't want to stop. This is the ring. Seeing as how my grandmother would have been 89 last weekend, this ring is almost 100 years old.

In news other than rings, I think I have finally gotten the design down for the Tears of Joy packets. Shelley at Impressions did 2 different logos for us and we used the simplified version for this. I think they look so much better this way. Let me know what you think.

DC060ED7.jpg

This weekend I hope to finish off the tears of joy packets and even if I have to go into isolation, I have got to finish my next newsletter. This is getting ridiculous that I keep putting it off. :headache:

Have a great weekend everyone! And, as always, thanks for reading.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom. The first anniversary of my grandfather
Passing was last week and it was much. Harder than I expected, and he had been 91 years old and lived a long and happy life!

So sorry you had a tough time lately. It must be difficult having lost your mom at the age you did. Glad you are recovering from the ache of the reminder.

Good luck with the DIY's this weekend. I look forward to seeing them. I thought the tears of joy pkts you originally did where very nice, but must admit these new ones I like even better.

e will be at Disney at the same time. What resort are you staying at? Maybe we will see each other.

Just realized I never answered this. :confused3 Right now we are planning on staying at SSR. But, we are considering trying to switch to BWV or BLT if possible.

Forgive me, I have slight memory issues. Are you doing a DP? If so which day? I know you mentioned UK pubside. We are having our DP there on Saturday the 10th.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. (((hugs)))

How beautiful that you get to wear your grandmother's ring. I love your new ring, it is so sparkley. It looks great with your other rings too.

I lived in Stoughton MA, it is south of Boston. My H grew up in NY just near West Point.

The tears of joy packets are so cute!

Good luck finishing the newsletter, I put stuff off too and then kick myself for waiting so long.
