B of A mortgage settlement letter

For those who have been waiting for a letter from BofA regarding the mortgage settlement from earlier this year, my DW just called and said we received a FedEx today with info in it.

They are offering to lower are interest rate which will save us about $170 a month. The letter comes with a reservation number and we have reply by Nov 23.

I don' mean to sound totally clueless, but are they sending these out to all of their customers? We have a BofA mortgage and were considering doing a re-fi. This sounds better!

I would try especially since it is at no cost.

Go to BofA web site and scroll down to bottom of home page and click on "learn about the mortgage settlement." There is info and a number to call.

We got one of those last year and it was very easy and they did all the work.

I have called and we are not eligible b/c we did a cash out refi several years back when hubby went back to school.

Oh well! We will just refi again and take advantage of the low rates. We will save a couple of hundred off of the monthly payment. It will take us just over 12 months to re-coop the closing cost. I just hate all of the paperwork!
