Thank you. We were able to get return flights and a post cruise stay in Barcelona for just a bit more than what we had previously. D H & I are happy with this decision.

Just got off the Dream yesterday and am totally excited for this trip now! However, the airfare is so insanely expensive. Right now its $1385 pp which is more than we paid for the cruise itself. I am so torn as to what to do. Anyone think there is any chance the airfare will go down?

Hi. We are also hoping airfare goes down. We booked around March 2012. As soon as I could get airfare (early last summer) I priced it at $1200 pp out of Detroit. So I waited. Then it went up and has been hanging out at $1400+ ever since. A few weeks ago American Airlines had about a 24 hr sale and I could have gotten a $900 pp flight but it flew Detroit to Miami to BCN with long layovers and it made for such a long day, I didn't bite. Now I am wishing I had grabbed it. But when you look at the seat maps the flights are only 25% or so full so I am counting on the rates coming down. Not sure if that's sound logic or not.

It is a frustrating process (the waiting and watching) because I'd really like to put payments down on tours and, less importantly, start working on FE stuff and door magnets, but without those plane tix I'm hesitant. So, wishiwasindisneyjen, you are not alone in this aggravation.

I am getting so excited for the cruise. This will be our 1st cruise so I am excited with much anticipation.

I'm sure it will pick up. I know the facebook group has some activity. The fish extender project will be taking shape soon I think.

Happy New Year! Cruise is getting closer! We are paid in full! Had a flight issue,Air Canada cancelled the direct flight, now we're going to Barcelona by way of Frankfurt Germany! Really! They are no where near each other.

I'm all set now to get the Fish Extender group up and running. I know someone mentioned a little while ago about adding the FE group details to the website that was set up, which I think would be very helpful to keep all in one place.
Also does anyone think it'd be good to get the roll call updated as I know some people aren't now sailing and lots of new people have joined recently.

For the new cruisers or those that haven't participated in Fish Extender groups before , here is a link with some great explanations as to what it's all about. They can explain better than me!!!

If you are interested in joining the FE exchange for our Med cruise, please send me an email to cuddlykoala33@aol.com . In the email send me your stateroom number, Disboard name, first name of each person in the stateroom, relationship to you (DH, DW, DP, DD, DS, DM, etc.) including ages and gender of children.

Group size will depend on how many people we have sign up, but we will have a cut off date in May for FE participants that want to make their gifts but do not want to run out of time.

Once I get confirmation from interested people I will send out a spreadsheet to all those participating and keep updated where necessary (hopefully )


If you haven't ever cruised before or not participated in an FE exchange, give it a go, it's lots of fun and there is nothing quite like arriving back at your cabin to find a surprise gift in your Fish Extender!


I will be organising the FE group along with my DP Hazel (hazelandannie DisBoard name) so the emails will be from either one of us.
