Personally, I prefer COSTCO. We have both memberships and do go to both clubs, but I think Costco has more higher end "stuff"
So, what I don't find at one I can usually find at the other. If you do decide to join both, buy the Executive Membership. Costs a little more but you will get 2% of your purchases back in the form of a check up to $500.
We're members at BJ's. We love it! We used to belong to Sam's, but switched. BJ's has a lot better selection of the things we buy. Plus, they'll take debit, credit, cash, check - whatever! Plus, they take coupons.
Well that would depend on where you live. I have all three within 12 miles. And actually, while very similar, each has its own distinctive "flavor"....
Like someone said, BJ's does take coupons, and that might be a huge difference.
Without a doubt Costco. The quality and variety is amazing. Last year I did so much Christmas shopping there between the electronics, toys and food items.
1) aisle markers - huge thing for me as I get lost easily in those places
2) focus on the residential consumer rather than businesses
3) coupons
4) debit cards
5) life sizing - they make a lot of their product in sizes that don't feed an army.
6) ready-to-eat meals are very good
7) some have dressing rooms in the clothes department and kids supervised and staffed play areas
8) lobsters
Thank you all so much for the replies. I like Costco a lot too. We had an office membership and then my boss didn't renew it so I haven't been in a while. I think I will try B.J.'s for the 60 day period to compare. I still love my Publix though.
