Aztec Gold DC!

Well, I did everything I could to hide from the DC monster, but it caught me. Logged back into VMK 5 min prior to room opening, made it into the queue when it opened, survived 52 people in front of me (got into the queue at 48), kept on waving in the room to make sure I was still in the game, and bam! DC inside the room with 4 or so in front of me. Guess I'll have to try it all over again. Hope everyone else is having better luck!

I feel your pain. I DCed with 8 people in front of me in the queue. Got in it when it first opened and was behind 43 other people. Staff events drive me buggy. Team Baseball was a nightmare that first day. Host trading usually works well for me though (knock on wood). I don't know if I'm going to try again or not tonight. So much time wasted only to DC in the end anyway.

This afternoon's staff event: signed off, restarted computer, signed in, - 46th in line, entered the event room long enough to step into the queue inside the room, and - whoosh!

UGH i hate the dc monster... i was in the room... sitting in the chair to be next and host_phinny gets dc'd so i wait.. then i get dc!! then i go back and wait in line once again for like 20 mins and then get in.. 3 people in front of me and i got bit again...

Last week I got into the room Staff event that was run like the Aztec Gold game - I dont remember the name of the game though but it was the game with the three spinners and if you get an exact match you win inferno. I was sitting in the chair at the turnstile and was next up to spin. Phinny open the gate and said next and I could not get out of the chair. Sure enough the dc monster came a grabbed me right out of that seat and I never got my turn after all that waiting. Yesterday in the queue to get into the Aztec Gold game I made it to number 15 in line before I dc. I have not yet gotten to play a match game to try to win an inferno. I didn't have that kind of trouble with the baseball game for a predictometer. Hmm are people dcing more with that game so there are alot of people waiting to play but less actually getting to play therefore reducing the chances of someone actually spinning a match and winning inferno therefore keeping the inferno pins to a minimum? Just a thought.
