We arrived on December 4th and were able to spend about 4 hours in the park which was nice and the crowds were not bad and then we headed to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner was mmm mmm good and we will for sure be doing this again next trip. The food was good and there was alot of characters. Friday it was more busy at DL but we got on a good amount of rides. On Saturday we headed to Seaworld for the day, it was hot (75-80) for December CRAZY... Sunday we went to LA and went to the American Girl Place and then drove around some and then off to a Laker Game that night... Monday we went to DCA and were able to get on every ride in 5 hours along with shows, that night we went to Medieval Times show which was fun and you get lots of food... Tuesday and Wednesday was DL and on Thursday we headed to Hollywood Blvd for the Stars Tour which was alot of fun, we got to see Hannah Montana house and then when we were driving down Rodeo Drive we say Hilary Duff. It was a fun time!! Friday we got up and packed and checked out of our hotel and went to DL and had Breakfast at Minnie's. It was good and lots of characters. We did rides until 4 and then off to the airport.....
We had a great trip and it was alot of fun getting to do other things then just DL and the weather was nice, compared what we came home too... BRRRRR
Thank you to all of you for your help, advice and info to help make our trip even more magical!

Yay Ruthie! Glad to hear it was such a good time. Sounds like you picked the right week to go!

I am so glad you had such a great (and busy!) trip! You were right by where I live if you were at the American Girl store at The Grove - I am right down the street! And I am especially glad that you loved Goofy's! If I recall, I think you had a thread about whether or not to go there, and I was one of the ones who chimed in with a resounding YES! So I am happy that worked out for you! I love Goofy's but I haven't been there for dinner in ages (we usually do the delicious breakfast). What sorts of dishes were in the dinner buffet?

They had two different carved meats, pasta dishes probably like 2 or 3 choices, salad bar, cooked vegies, potatoes and gravy, fish dish, and more... There was a huge island just for deserts... It was yummy!

I wonder if they had pepperoni pizza too? (They have that at breakfast, of all things!) If I recall from the last time I ate dinner at Goofy's (I am so addicted to their vast breakfast selection that I can't tear myself away form that to go to the dinner buffet!), they had prime rib as one of the carved meats. They also had some sort of chicken, which may have been BBQ. They also had corn on the cob, I think. I don't think I looked at the dessert island, but if it is as tempting as the pastry island during breakfast, I am sure I would have to sample some stuff. I would guess that they serve the Mickey-shaped peach and apple cobbler at dinner too (that is another one served at breakfast).

Overall, I think the reason why I didn't like the Goofy's dinner as much as the breakfast (other than the higher price) was that there were not as many dishes that appealed to me. personally, as there were at breakfast. I think I only found one or two things that I wanted to eat, whereas at breakfast, I could find a whole bunch of things I liked, whether or not I ate all of them! But I have heard many folks say they love the Goofy's dinner, so I will probably give that another try at some point. The AP discount helps a lot on the price! Until then, I will definitely be visiting Goofy's for breakfast next weekend!!!
