tinker any new news on AWM????

when you talk to her again, tell her i have not texted her, so i would not use up her battery on her cell phone, but that i am thinking of her and the boys every day!

Just got off the phone with Ann. Still no power :sad2:

and she just found out that her phone lines are out too, so even if she gets power back she won't have internet service...She missed every one terribly and says thanks for all of the well wishes (I read her this entire thread to cheer her up

)

Her boys are pretending to be Amish. So every morning when I talk to her the first thing that I ask is "Are you still Amish?". I wasn't going to post that on the boards because I didn't want to offend anyone - then Ann reminded me that there probably weren't alot of Amish reading the swap boards :laughing:

OH good gravy!! The poor thing!! And she lives in the sticks so it is going to take forever!

I wanted to call but I'm so afraid of her battery going dead... so I haven't been...

Amish! Amish! How funny!!! So, are they plowing the field out in front of them? I bet that would get them out of her hair for a while!!

My DH collects oil lamps, so I have the Amish thing going when we lose power too. They really are handy though...I guess it could be worse...He could be collecting something not as useful...

Lets hope she's careful if she has to go out there among the English

(I haven't seen Witness for ages - I loved that film!) Maybe we should all send her pieces for a quilt if she can't use her cricut!

But seriously I feel her pain being without power - we had a power cut for 3 hours (in daylight!) during the school holidays and the boys were carrying on like I was personally stopping them having a good time :rolleyes:

The "Amish" thing is just too cute, and I'm sure AWM will see more humor in it much later, like when she's sitting at her computer with coffee in her hands. I could come up with some fabric too, just let me know

When we lost power, my girls used to pretend we were camping, but that wasn't for days at a time (and years ago).

Please pass on my thoughts and if there is anything at all she needs or anything I can do to help. Although it sounds like they have a good attitude, I hope the Amish days are over soon.

Got a message from AWM yesterday that she and her family are no longer Amish = the power is finally back!!! Her phone line are out so still no internet service, but she might make a stop at the library to see if she can check in. :goodvibes
