I liked these:

because they also come in teen and adult sizes for bigger people who may be non-verbal or unable to cope with giving their info if lost. They strike me as a useful thing. :)

Thanks for posting.
They have a number of interesting items.

We use the shoe ID on that same page for my son with SNs (actually we use it for his little brother too when we are at WDW). He would have a fit if I put that on his wrist. And then he would take it off and throw it. ;)

It is great for kids who will keep it on though!

Thanks for the site. It looks great. I, too, have used the shoe one in Disney as my son would not put something on his wrist. Nice options though!! I have heard that the video is pretty good. My son has issues with strangers danger. Anyone can you recommend it?

We have the Vital ID style for young kids (non-disposable) and it is a nice product. William (who is type 1 diabetic and allergic to peanuts) still pulls it off though - all the time (like when he washes his hands) and forgets about it.

I wish it was common to just "chip" people. I realize the privacy concerns but wouldn't it be great peace of mind to think you or your child had this chip of medical data always with them and all emergency responders could access it? Last year (or the year before) the guy who is Mr. Universe is a type 1 diabetic. He was at the movie theater alone and started to go too low. The theater folks thought he was drunk, called the cops who came to get him. At this point he was so low he got combative and the whole thing went down hill. They didn't know he was type 1 and he was too low to know what he was doing - and he's a huge guy. Not a good situation for him or the police officers trying to subdue him.

Well....maybe that was way OT but it didn't stop me from prattling on!:upsidedow

Those are clever. DD wouldnt keep it on her wrist though. We use our WDTravel travel luggage tags. and I will either put it on her belt loop or tie it on her shoes.

I think some of the wrist bands might work well in spots other than the wrist for some people.
I know my DD doesn't like things on her wrists - we still have not gotten her to wear her MedicAlert bracelet because of that.

Going with the luggage tag thing on the belt loop. If you are a scrapbooker you can order some luggage tags from the Oriental Trading Company catalog that you can decorate with nice papers and stickers. If you need a pattern e-mail me and I will give you some ideas. Have your kids help with picking out the papers and stickers and they will be more likely to keep it on their belt loop because they helped make it. This is what we are doing with my DD. She tends to be impulsive if she sees something that distracts her. :cheer2:
