I hesitate to share this, but figured not many people will travel to Hong Kong just to score some nice Disney pins, so here's the report:
Last fall I traveled through HKG and noticed the Disney store in the airport (inside security) had employees with lanyards. I asked about trading and they said yes and was instantly bummed I didn't have any of mine to trade.
This time I came with traders - mostly pin packs - NO SCRAPPERS (because that's just rude), and was very surprised in the willingness to trade (just like inside Disney parks) and the quality of the pins on the lanyards. After careful inspection later I discovered of the 8 I picked up, one was a fake, but a very good fake. The others were 100% authentic and MASSIVE - very, very nice. Also almost all I picked up were Disney Hong Kong pins - complete with the stylized character eyes, etc. You won't get this in the states.
I exchanged mostly vinylmation pins and character pins from the 2012 in-store sets - which the HKG staff loved. I felt it was a decent cultural exchange as well
