We recently purchased 150 SSR points thru the DVC Store and it was flawless! Jerry did a great job initially answering all my questions over the phone and transacting virtually everything via email. The process from start to finish took less than 6 weeks. There were no delays at all and I recommended a friend and they are having the same great service as well.
The only issue I had was with Disney! Once I received my Congratulations email from the DVC Store they stated that it could take 7 to 28 days before my points would be ready to use based on when DVC contacts me. Well just about a week later, I booked a reservation using my GVC points thinking my SSR points were not available. When I asked the CM if my SSR points were available she stated that it was in process. I get a letter in the mail from DVC ironically the next day which was dated 12/4/11 that I had points available! I made the reservations on the 9th!
I called DVC back the following day and demanded that my SSR points be used rather than my GVC points because of the restrictions placed on resale points. The CM I got on the phone didn't have a clue on what I was calling about until I told her that I was not going to repeat myself for the 5th time. It was then when she put on hold for abt 15 mins and came back and stated that the request was made.
Can you believe DVC not only didn't notify us until a week later that my points were available but the first CM stating that my points were not available? Not DVC! Yes, oh yes, I am ready to defend my resale points as I can see these points have already made me feel like 2nd class DVC members. HOWEVER, I would not change our decision to buy DVC points through the DVC Store! The only regret is that we should have purchased them about 9 months earlier when they made the restrictions for resale points and for that matter over 2 yrs ago when we purchased the GVC points thru Disney.
