On the 20th we returned from a wonderful first trip "home" to BCV.
We had a large party and due to ever-changing plans before the trip, had two studios the first two nights, and a 2BR for the last five. I did online check in, and when we arrived around 4:00 on Saturday, our rooms were ready. The CMs were great, even when I came back twice within 15 minutes due to one card that was illegible, and another that we lost as soon as we got in the room. They replaced both cards quickly.
All the rooms were clean as a pin and looked great. I'd had concerns about the combinations of colors/patterns, but even though it's not "matchy matchy", it works. The studios were on the fourth floor, one facing Epcot and one facing the quiet pool/canal. The 2BR was on the third floor, also facing the quiet pool and canal. We were amazed at how quiet BCV was, and how few people we encountered during our stay.
We decided not to do a split stay again, even at the same resort. Monday we re-packed, got our luggage picked up, hung out at SAB, ate lunch at Beaches & Cream, then unpacked again. As I said earlier, the room was ready at 1PM, but by the time we were re-settled and got groceries, we'd blown half the day. If we'd had a kitchen initially, we could have bought groceries on the way instead of making a special trip.
Walking to Epcot and taking the boat to DHS was great, and the busses were fine most of the time. The only trouble was returning from MK Friday night hours before EMH ended. The bus line overflowed the waiting area, enough to pack two busses and still leave people waiting. The driver of the second bus took FOREVER trying to lift a man on a scooter, after he'd already said the lift wasn't working right.
Finally, after several tries, the man had to get off the scooter and walk onto the bus, then the lift barely got the scooter on. About that time, a lady in wheelchair arrived, but the driver said it wouldn't lift her, and he'd call for another bus. Otherwise, but wait times were very reasonable.
Stormalong Bay was great, and we spent more time at the pool than we've ever spent on a WDW vacation -- we were there at least every other day. We were always able to find a few chairs, and the pool itself didn't feel overly crowded. Everyone enjoyed the water slide and sinking sands area. We wanted to watch the movie on the beach, but it rained both nights we could do it.
All in all, we enjoyed BCV immensely, and are thrilled it is our home resort.
