What can I say, the day was awesome all the way around and not as crowded as I thought I was. We arrived at 10:45 in the park and it was maybe half full at best. We did many of the characters meet and greets and even had to stand in the rain for 45 minutes just to get Mickey/Goofy/Pluto in their colonial attire! (awesome experience).

Voices of Liberty were awesome in concert for the 4th and and tons of great photos taken in the park for photo pass. We also got a front row seat for the Illuminations and then the 4th of July fireworks.

We then took advantage of the two extra magic hours to hit Soarin (three times), Figment, Nemo, Joy/Sadness and Test Track at 10 minutes before the park closed.

Also ran into Oliver's partner Spencer right outside the American Adventure and told him I enjoyed their Vlogs and he said he was working on his own today.

Glad you had a great time!
Where did you meet them in their colonial attire? I would like to do that next year. Thanks

Chip and Dale were located to the right of "The American Adventure" and Mickey/Goofy/Pluto to the right.

I was there too. I'm curious if you felt that way later in the evening as well?

Which show did you see? All three shows were standing room only. I'm always surprised at how popular they are.

You had a seat? How did you manage that?

Who are Oliver and Spencer?

Yes, Epcot was nothing like the insanity that MK was. We went to MK and the evening was chaotic, I'm sure the 4th was not much better if not worse. We saw the first Voices show at 5:30 there was a few seats left in the middle. We also had a Fast Pass for Illuminations that we booked 60 days out. Oliver is a person that use to work the DIS and be on the Tuesday podcast and the Universal show. Spencer is his partner. They started their own VLOG on youtube.

.

What time did you have to get a spot for the fireworks? We will be there for the 4th next year, so this is good info!

We got in line around 6:45 and were 7th in the Fast Pass Line for Illuminations.

@oktxregulators ~ Did you happen to take any photos of the Voices show? I'm trying to find a photo of Patriotic Mickey onstage. :) Thanks!

It was around that time
Unless you wanted to be right up front, if you had a FP, you're assured of entry into the FP area up to the last minute.
Lots of people were camped out around the world pavilions as well during that time.
Ooooh, I know full well. I had to ask, more than once, a bunch of people wanting to stake out a spot where they weren't allowed, it never goes well. The looks are priceless. But it's understandable because they didn't have a guaranteed spot somewhere.

We wanted a spot right up front after experiencing the madness at Mk on the 3rd. :)

Epcot was very pleasant on July 4th. The park was not busy at all until the evening started and even before the fireworks it was not crazy.

Both guests and cast seemed to have a much better timer over there. I don't regret going there instead of MK.

The fireworks at Epcot were amazing! We had reserved spots over in the UK and literally had debris falling on us. My brother caught a giant burnt piece of one of the fireworks. The ground literally shook - very cool.
