Honey Lager at Artist Point.
A few also-rans which I'll mention in my reviews.

I was quite glad (in fact, almost jubilant) to find this, given what was usually available in the restaurants we visited.

Welcome back to the DISboards Uncleromulus. Hope you had a great trip with lots of good dining. I'm looking forward to your reviews!

Oh, welcome back!! I was hoping against hope you'd be able to post some reviews before our crew heads out in the morning! I'll try and be patient...;)

(I'm especially eager to hear about Jiko as we have just added that to our plans. Send me a quick warning if they've suddenly gone down hill!)

I'll add that one to my list, right after my
usual Ringnes from Norway.:p

Our best beer goes to.......

Maudite ..........at Le Cellier

I'll keep this in mind but I have to have my Ringnes first too. And then maybe Tennants... ;)

I'm looking forward to your reviews.

Welcome back. Hope you enjoyed your trip.:)

Have you been recently...has Le Cellier started selling Maudite again??? My hubby would be thrilled!

You are right...that is one of the best beers ever made...bar none.

Is that Michelob's honey lager they are serving...or is there a new microbrew at Artist Point???

Yep. It's Michelob Honey Lager--but still good. Something about honey in beer that I like. You can clearly taste the honey in this one.
I only wish they had a new microbrew--or would bring back the one they used to carry. Never did understand why they got rid of it (or maybe I do understand-probably nobody ordered it)

By the by--does the taste of Safari Amber remind you of Michelob Amber Bock??? I had a Safari Amber at one of the stands at the AK and could swear it was Amber Bock.

Thanks, I had the Mich honey the last time we were there...just hoping I guess, that they brought back a microbrew.

Hubby and I were probably the only ones besides you who ordered the microbrew when they had it. It was a pretty good beer.

Somehow, Disney always takes away the good stuff. At least there is still safari amber out there....shhh...don't tell them we like that.

I tried two different imports (I presume so anyway) from Africa (presuming again) at the lounge at AKL last December. They were both good. Normally I'm more adept at the details but it was dark in the lounge, I was tired, hungry, and anxiously awaiting to be paged for dinner at Boma.

Most likely they were Tusker beer and Zambezi beer--both from Africa.
That lounge used to carry Safari Amber, but no more.

It's only 2:15 on a "typical" Monday and you guys are making my mouth water!

Wouldn't it be neat if Disney had like a "Beer Club" card that sophisticated beer lovers could get a buck or so off their beers!

That could lead to a whole new kind of park "hop"per. :jester:

WOW! Beer Drinkers! We are a special breed. I was thinking the EXACT same thing re: Beer Club Card - and thought i could create a "challenge" for my DH as a treat using the suggestions here. Everyone talks about "special little things" for the kids...why not my DH? With 2 kids under 5 and a mother-in-law to boot, we deserve a good beer!
I look forward to other recommendations and was going in with the notion that Germany must have the best draft.
