Award Certificate - SW - quick questions about using them...PLEASE!

I have an award certificate with SW that expires on 5/15/2013. A couple of questions -

Can that date be extended at all (for a fee??)?

If I book with it, and then have to change/cancel....am I still limited to having to fly by 5/15?

the answer to #1 but the answer to #2 is, yes the original expiration date will still apply

You can renew for 1 year after expiration 1 time. Fee is $50 per award ticket (round Trip).

My advise if you are not flying before the original expire date is to wait till the day of and then renew, you have some time after it expires to renew, I can't remember the exact time frame but I have renewed many award tickets 30 days after they expire.

Is a SWA *award certificate* the same as a LUV voucher?

I have a LUV voucher and would like to know if it can be

Calling is your best bet,

I've been fling with WN for over 16 years and dozens of Award tickets, its much easier to call them direct.
