Some places are telling people to evacuate and if they refuse, then they are taking their fate into their own hands. They will not send out crews to rescue them. Harsh as that sounds, I agree with this.

We have had pretty good gusts here and the coastal areas are expecting big storm surges. There was already someone that got swept off of the rocks. I believed they lived though. What a moron..Stay away from the beaches, people!

Well it's almost over. Lost power but its back. No work today so I guess it's going to be a good day to go outside and see what's broken or gone. Hope everyone did ok.

That was one long and scary night. We lost power for a short period of time but have it again this morning, thank goodness. It's still raining but the wind has died down substantially. My sump pump is running almost nonstop; I hope the motor doesn't die. Continue to stay safe, everyone.

We made it through with only a few lights flickering and some small tree branches down. No real damage. So fortunate! A dear friend near Philly is still without power or cell service by their home.

Thoughts are with everyone suffering through the aftermath of the storm.

also made it, some flickering lights but never lost power can't believe the aftermath and the people that should have evacuated are now being evacuated incredible....

Hard for us with no power, much of NJ is dark, chilly in house with no heat. We have hot water (gas thank God). 20 or so trees down on my street.
