Hi all,
We're driving from Portland, Maine to Washington, D.C. later this week and need some advice on timing. (We considered going all the way to Disney but came to our senses
) I get out of work at noon on Wednesday, so we thought we'd leave Wed. afternoon and stop for the night around 9 or 10, then finish the trip to D.C. Thursday morning. I know we're going to hit rush hour traffic somewhere 
, but I'd love some advice on the best time to leave Maine and maybe a good place to stop for the night, trying to avoid as much heavy traffic as possible.
