Avoiding crowds/EMH/Which Parks Which Days are best -Please Help

Popular advice recommends that one avoid going to the Parks with EMH to avoid crowds. Does that apply to early EMH only, or to the evening EMH as well? We are planning a trip May 19 - 26 and I made ADR's based on attending parks that were open late for EMH, but now I'm worried that we'll be stuck with crowds. Is it better to go to the park the day AFTER the EMH, even though it will have shorter hours? Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this? Thanks!

There are definitely two schools of thought here. We are going for a four day trip May 6-9, and I am going with the school that says avoid all EMH parks whether early or late. The main reason for this is that as of the last year or two WDW tickets now require you to pay extra for park hopping. So what most people do is not buy parkhoppers, and then go to an EMH park, and then get stuck there all day no matter what the crowds are, which are usually worse than non-EMH days.
