Avoid the crowds in June!

Just thought I would share a little info for anyone who is visiting Florida at the start of June 2008.

Some of you may know that Orlando Gaydays 2008 is between 3rd - 9th June (visiting parks between 5th - 8th) and it will be very busy in certain parks over this weekend so I wanted to let you guys know what is happening each day so you can work your holiday intinerary around it, hope it helps someone.

Thursday June 5th - Disney's AK.
Friday June 6th - Disney's MGM.
Saturday 7th June - Disney's MK.
Sunday 8th June - Disney's Epcot.

Personaly we have decided to avoid going to Disney parks over this weekend, instead we are going to Discovery Cove one day, Clearwater Beach another day and prob have a rest day as well.

We've been at that time of year before and didn't find it a problem. Just one thing I have to tell you about though, they pick a colour to wear each day so that they see each other in the parks... they may have more details on that website nearer to the time. Some of them might be organized in groups or just there with their partners and children.
When we went in '05 DH made the decision on our day to see EPCOT to wear a red T-shirt which happened to be their colour of the day for that park. We worked out after 30 minutes why DH was getting some odd looks so we just went with the flow and talked to people as usual and did everything we wanted to do without any problems.
The key to remember is the parks are for everyone we all have families and loved ones we want to share our holidays with.
