Avoid entitled/spoiled kids going to Disney World

This year we have used an extra perk at Disney for motivation and it has been working great!
Our DD4 has not slept in her own bed for quite a long time. I originally thought I would wait until we got back from WDW to really start getting her in her own bed until I had the idea to use a bribe.
We told her that if she slept ALL night in her bed that she could go to BBB AND pick out a dress there. We NEVER let her get a dress while there. I always buy them on sale at our local Disney Store and bring them with us.
Let me say, this has worked like a charm. There have been no arguments, no sneaking into our bed, and most importantly I get my bed back!
We have been trying all kinds of methods for over a year now and this has been the most effective.

As a previous poster said, you will not know if you did a good parenting job until your kids are much older. Example: When one of my daughters was in college and did a paper mentioning God, her professor told her she would get a failing grade if she did not remove the references to God. She refused and told the professor she would take the failing grade. She got an A on the paper. I had taught my daughters from Day One to stand firm for what is right. I was so proud of her. Time will tell for all of you young parents. The best advice I can give, from an old granny, is to tell your kids what you expect and what the consequences will be and stand by them. Sorry for the rant.
