Has anyone used the codes offered by Delta to get discounts on Avis rental cars?
Some where in the details it says this: "....Taxes, concession recovery fees, customer facility charge (in CA, customer facility charge is U.S. $10/contract) and other surcharges apply and are extra.
Frequent Flyer surcharge of up to U.S. $0.50 per day, up to a maximum of U.S. $2 per rental, may apply and are extra......"
Does this first part mean that there will be more charges other than the Surcharge, Vehicle License Fee and a 10% Concession Recovery Fee? We are not in CA so I do not have to worry abou the $10 fee there.
Does the second part mean that for an eight day rental I will be charged an extra $2?
Using the Delta Sky Miles member code of K817625 in the AWD slot and looking at the Estimated Total that Avis gives me, I save quite a bit over any other code I have tried. But I am leary of the above statements.
Any experience here?
