Avis at the Doubletree

We are planning a Disney wedding and we scheduled a site visit for our October vacation. We are actually spending this vacation at Universal staying at the RPR. My mom has enough coke points to where we could get a one day car rental from Avis (she collects points and there is never anything she wants to redeem them for). I saw that there is an Avis at the Doubletree near Universal. Is this walkable from RPR? It would save us approx. $40 in cab fare, plus it would give us the flexibility to make other stops if we wanted to. TIA! This is our first trip to Universal.

We've stayed at the DTU and it's about a 10 minute walk to the parks. I think that if you take the boat to HRH and walk from there, it would be fine.

actually, what you'd want to do is walk across Major Blvd to the Portofino Bay hotel and take their boat to CityWalk....then walk to RPR from there.

Am I reading the question wrong? I think this is actually the opposite answer of what was asked. They want to go FROM Royal Pacific to pick up a car at Doubletree.

idk...usually people are lookin to return cars and then go to their hotel....it would still work.

They would walk to CW from RPR (to take boat RPR to CW), then walk or boat from CW to PBH. From PBH you can easily walk to DoubleTree.

Walking between RPR & DoubleTree is quite a hike....hence the recommendation of boating to PBH and walking from PBH.
