We were going to drive to Disney in June. But i got a great rate on Midwest for the night before. I couldn't find a great rate on the way back, but i did find a great deal on Avis where you drive their car back from Florida. Everything works out. I get 2 extra days in Florida, only have to drive on the way back, and get a rental car for the trip. Here's the problem: You only can get the car for a maximum of 7 days. So I would be getting into Orlando Friday night, but couldn't pick up the car until Monday Morning. So I'm thinking i could take Magical Express, then find a way to come back Monday to get the car. Or i could rent a car from Friday to Monday, then come back to the airport to swap cars. Will i have any trouble coming back to the airport on Monday, since i wont have a ticket for that day? I know this would be a pain for some people, but i don't mind as i will still have extra time in Disney over what i would have had before, and Monday will be an off site day with shopping and some swimming. Does anyone know if i will have trouble coming back to the airport on Monday, or has anyone ever done one of these one way deals from Orlando, or any other suggestions to make this go smooth? Sorry this is so long! :)
THANKS!

Hey why not book a car for t he weekend with enterprise. I entered the zip code from my hotel and through Travelocity.com found that renting a car just off disney propery I saved 50%. The car will cost me 15.99 for 3 days for friday to monday in June as compared to 30.00 per day when renting even from the same rental company. Only thing the Enterprise off disney property will not come and pick me up. So I called my Hotel, CSR to double check the distance to the off property Enterprise and found it to be a 5 dollar cab fare.

There is an Avis location in the Hilton on Hotel Plaza Blvd on WDW property. Why not set up the rental to do the exchange there. It will save you the drive back to the airport and $4 (round trip) in tolls. The location code is LB3.

I have to pick up the car at the airport on Monday. Its cheap because they need to get the cars from the airport to the midwest. So instead of maybe $1000 (one-way, 7 days), its only $109 plus fees for the rental. I just dont know with security is there any problem, just taking a cab to the airport to pick up a rental car without an airline ticket?

You are not required to have a ticket to go to the airport. (The TSA only cares if you go to the gate)

The Avis counter and garage are outside of security, so you will not have a problem.
