Average Joe: Adam Returns....possible spoiler if you haven't watched tonight

Is anyone else disappointed? I really thought that Rachael was a better match for him. Sam kept mentioning shopping and never once mentioned what she wanted in the future as far as wanting to get married and having children. And the way she was putting Rachael down just showed her true side. I don't know, I feel that Adam kind of did what was done to him. He kept saying how sexy Sam was and that was the connection that was made between them....and thats who he picked, same as on the other Average Joe's. I think what Rachael said to him in the very end made him think.

He did exactly the same thing that Milena did, people are just pigs sometimes.

I don't know. He definitely think he picked the wrong girl IMO, but then I have to stand by what I said when the last "Ave Joe" chick went with her heart. There's no use "settling" if you're going to be thinking about some other hottie. I just wish he would have had the sense to NOT be impressed by Sam. It looks like he needs to grow up a little, and then he will be looking for Rachel or someone like her.

Of course, the show was so short that I don't feel like I got to know much about Rachel either.

She said she was disappointed ant that she just wanted him to know that she was there for the right reasons......something along those lines. He was kind of taken by the statement and you could see a kind of a shocked look on his face.

These people are picking potential mates based on their hormones. I wonder what his mom's reaction was when she found out who he picked.

Sam may have been an okay person, but she kept talking about going to New York and "hanging out" with Adam. Nothing about forging a relationship with him. I thought what he said was very telling, something to the effect of "Sam and I both would have to mature a little more towards having a relationship" I just knew he was going to pick her when he said that.

When his parents were going on and on about Rachel, I was saying, "NO! NO!" A parent's approval for a girl/guy is almost the kiss of death. He was looking for "heat", they were looking (and rightly so) at potential "wife" ability.

Yes, I am very disappointed, but not surprised.

I think he picked the right girl. They only knew eachother for around 3 weeks or so and Rachel was way too serious about the whole thing, she was talking about having kids with him.

I didn't like that they ended up saying that if he picked Sam he wasn't serious but if he picked Rachel he was, way to stero-type. Was he supposed to pick Rachel when they had zero passion after only 3 weeks just because they had things in common and his mother loved her?

I don't blame the guy for not wanting to map out his future after just meeting someone, in the beginning it should be just fun, the hard stuff comes later on in a relationship.

Same here, I wasn't surprised, just disappointed. Wish he could have heard her saying how she was classy and more sophisticated. Give me a break, lady. I'd really like to know how these Average Joe couples turn out 6 months from the end of the show. Are any of them still together?

What can I say - Predictable ending to this show once again. But hey, maybe Adam is looking for the "Socialite" type to fit his high roller daytrading lifestyle in NY.

I was also very disappointed. Rachel was prettier than Sam IMO. Sam had that "been around the block" look to her. I can't believed he picked her after hating the way she was with her dog!! He will never be first in her life! lol Hope he has fun with the farting dog! HA! I don't see them lasting either, but Rachel was a little too much too fast for him. This show did go very quickly this time!

This is going to sound very catty, but I thought Sam was funny looking. The expressions she got on her face reminded me of a very spoiled five year old.

Each of these shows came down to the one they're hot for vs. the one who will treat them well. I guess in such a short time all they have to go on is their hormones.

Well I was disappointed as well. It was so typical of the "Average Joe" shows. All have gone for beauty over substance. I thought that Adam and Rachel made a nice couple.

But then again, I really didn't think that much of Adam himself... I didn't find him very good looking (too big teeth), and he had this kind of dumb way about him, something about the way he talked seemed kind of "Elmer Fuddish". So maybe Sam was the first "hot" girl he's ever had.

I didn't watch the first shows but taped the last one. BOY, another disappointment!

Adam became like Meredith, she was the LIKED one but ended up choosing someone that proves who they REALLY are.

I agree with Mercy, I don't think Adam had a snowball's chance with girls like Paris, uh, Samantha before this experience. I think the high school kid who never got the girl took over here. He could probably meet a million Rachels before his life is over, but only one Samantha will give him the time of day.

As for the dog, well, he got what he deserved!

I really hope we can somehow find out in about 6-months how Adam is doing with his "high maintenance" choice!! The way she acted with her dog was ridiculous, and all she cares about is herself. She just wanted to win. She doesn't really care about him and I seriously doubt she will stay with him more than a couple of months. I felt so sorry for Rachel. Like she said, she was there for the right reasons and I do feel he will be sorry, later, for the dumb choice he made.

They won't last - just like every other couple produced from a reality show. He should have picked Rachel, they would have actually had a chance I think. I don't think Sam is that good looking either, and Adam did do exactly what was done to him. Did anyone notice she mentioned on camera that she had been in a commercial or something but didn't want to tell his mom that? Wait til she hears that! So, she is not on the show for Adam. Also, when the 2 girls were saying how the other wasn't right for Adam, Sam said something about Rachel teaching and then said "Well I go to work with adults everyday" as if being a teacher and being around children is a bad thing! I think she's a *w*itch.

I'm glad he chose the one he was truly interested in - you can't fake physical chemistry. Can you imagine if he chose Rachel to please his parents, and then she watched the show and realized that clearly he was more interested in Sam? I wouldn't want a man who is longing after someone else. Sure there is much more to a lasting relationship than physical chemistry, but if it is not there is the beginning I don't think that is a good sign. Now why he didn't have chemistry with Rachel is a completely different question. She does seem much more like marriage material.
