Average Dining Times

I realize that the time spent in each restaurant varies. However, I have booked all my reservations and all my times are about 7:30pm. I will be in attendance from September 13 to 18. This obviously eliminates any chance of seeing Spectomagic (8pm) and maybe Wishes (9pm) and Illuminations (9pm). This also depends where in the resort I am for dinner too. I was just hoping to get some sort of idea how much time people spend during a typical dining evening. Thanks.

It truly does depend on where you are dining and with how many others in your party. Usually there are at least four of us at dinner and the time can range from 30 minutes or so at a counter service reataurant to about 90 minutes at the nicer sit down restaurants. Overall, I think a little over an hour or so covers dinner for us....and we are not drinkers so we don't need a cocktail or two before ordering....that would only increase the time needed.

I love the various firework shows at the parks and would do my best to schedule dinner at locations that could still allow you to catch them. Especially Illuminations for me; can't miss that one and there are plenty of restaurants in the EPCOT resort area or WS that will allow you to eat and see that show....even with a 7:30 dinner.

We are super-early eaters - lunch at 11 am and then the earliest dinner we can get. So, since we aren't battling crowds, we can eat quickly and get back to the fun!

We also prefer to eat early dinners. Most of our reservations for dinner are around 5:00. That gives us plenty of time to see the parks (and any fireworks/parades) afterwards!

Our meals at most Signature table service restaurants are at least and hour and a half. At a place like California grill on a Saturday night, it can approach 2 hours.
Of course, we have drinks, appetizers and dessert and prefer a leisurely paced meal.
