This is our first trip to Disneyworld and would like to find out what an average counterservice meal would cost and what an average mid-range restaurant meal would cost.

We are thinking of booking a FT silver plan package through DU and using the 2 wishes on meals. Do you think it's worth it?

We are planning on staying at AKL.

Thanks! :D

I need a few more detail to be accurate. If you have six people it will be more than for two.
Average counter service meal with dessert under $12.00 per person w/tax
Average non-buffett meal in a "nice" restaurant with drinks/appetizers/entree and dessert followed by coffee for dinner time about $75 per person $25 per kid w/ tax and tip
Average Lunch at buffett about $20.00 per person (adult) $10.00 per kid tax and tip not incl.
Average Dinner Buffett about $30.00 per person (adult) $10.00 for kids tax and tip not included

For our family of 4 DD7 and DS 11 we plan on about $100.00 per day. We split counter service meals, and stay DVC so I can prep food in the kitchen for breakfast. I plan extra for a day when we eat a little more expensively ('Ohana, HDDR, etc.)

Let me make it easy for you.

Visit this MENU LINK and check out the prices yourself. That is how I budgeted for DH and I on our trip back in 2001.

Hope that helps and have fun planning. :teeth:
