I guess Feige figured out how to solve the Kang problem. It's an interesting gamble to cast RDJ as a villain but after Oppenheimer, I won't bet against him.

I cannot believe why Robert Downey Jr. is going from playing Iron Man to playing Doctor Doom in this Avengers movie because this is a huge shock to fans of The Avengers movies. My mom has been a Robert Downey Jr. fan for a long time and she has always liked Robert as Iron Man so seeing Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom is strange. I wonder if they will have a new actor playing Iron Man in Avengers Doomsday? And what about Hawkeye and Vision? Are they even gonna be in Avengers Doomsday with a new actor in the Hawkeye role and I can bet Paul Bettany will return as Vision for this movie. I can bet Avengers Doomsday will fail when it opens in theaters in 2026 due to Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom

Well it certainly won’t be an attempt to lower budget costs. The Russo’s apparently have a deal for $80M to direct both movies and RDJ hasn’t exactly come cheap in Marvel films and is reportedly getting $100M to possibly do both Doomsday and Secret Wars.
