Avatar now an "X"

Had an avatar, was super easy with the new boards. Today I thought I would see how my daughter's newest drawing would look and it came up with an "x". Tried to switch back to the one I had and it is also an "x". Any suggestions?

I'm going to venture a guess that it's tied to the issues the boards have having today with posting pictures.
