Avatar movie delayed

Does this surprise anyone? And do you think it will make a difference with the new attractions at AK?

I think the walkways, lights, performance entertainment, shops, and (possibly) the "book report" boat ride will be finished in 2017.

I think we'll end up seeing something like this:

Rivers of Light: Spring 2016
Disney Springs: Summer 2016
Frozen Norway: Fall/Winter 2016
Star Wars Expansion Announcement: Spring 2017
Avatarland Soft Opening: Summer 2017

I dont think the movie push will affect the theme park schedule. The Imagineers are well under way with the current attractions based on the first film.

The push on the film is just a 6 month push on begining the shoot. It also means Weta Digital the FX company in New Zealand will have more time to help the imagineers with an Visual Effects work for the park .
