You'll have to resize it to fit in the circular shape that's the avatar window now. Had this same issue on another forum I'm on when they "upgraded" - the avatar window went from square to round cutting off the edges of many avatars.

I took it from 85x85 to 80x80, Kitty. Not sure if that is enough.

Right click on the link I have there and save it to your desktop. Then go to your preferences. Hover the current avatar, It should have 'edit' appear. Click the 'choose a file. Should take you to your PC. Click on the link you saved to your desktop. I think that should do it.

Real stupid question, Dan.....how do I save it to my desktop??? I just love you're trying to help me.

Put your mouse pointer on the link. Click the right mouse button. ( I am assuming you are using a PC or laptop, not a tablet or Mac). You should get a menu window. Click on the 'save link as'. Click OK. That should put it on your PC's desktop. Then do the avatar stuff here on the dis.

Mine looks like I designed it just for the update but wonder if you have to add some white space around it so it doesn't zoom to fit the space.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm babysitting my grandson next weekend. His Daddy is the one who actually put me on the DIS many moons ago so Daddy is going to give me back my ears.

You should consider a brand new avatar. That image is a 50x50 animated gif that is being displayed as a 96x96 static jpg, so it is a little pixelated and blurred.
