One thing the trailers aren't showing you is that this film is supposed to be in 3D High Frame Rate, something that you won't see at home. This is the 48 frames per second style that The Hobbit Trilogy was shot in - twice the frame rate smooths the action and also makes the 3D more convincing. I know a lot of people don't care much for 3D movies, but if any movie ever did it right, it's Avatar. James Cameron will have this thing looking spectacular!

Honestly, after so much time has passed from the first movie, I've sort of lost interest.

Also, "Avatar" is simply the sci-fi version of "Dances With Wolves".

I tried to watch the first one several times but just couldn’t get into it. I finally forced myself to watch it all the way through when Pandora opened at Animal Kingdom. I will never watch it again. Have zero interest in the 2nd one.

But they’ll show us how important the water is to their life so I’m sure it will be nothing at all like the the first one

Looks like the military/corporation is using avatars to fight the blue man group. However, if you have a high end genetics lab, why not create a genetically enhanced avatar that's even better than a blue smurf person? (Like a giant Predator!)

Why with all their futuristic innovation could they not give Sully some legs to begin with? You can clone a blue dude, but you can't make a Sully walk? Shenanigans!

Most likely, they can't make too many genetic mods because the scientists behind the Avatar project tend to not be too sympathetic to militarizing them. Of course, we also don't know that they didn't do that - they can't show everything in the teaser.

They could absolutely make Sully walk again - that was the entire reason he was spying on the Na'vi for the Colonel. He couldn't afford the procedure to fix his injuries, but the RDA agreed to pay for it once he rotated back to Earth.

If you mean why couldn't Sully just get his broken back fixed on Earth, he says at the beginning of the movie that they can fix a spine but he can't afford the surgery on his salary. Later on the bad guy in the movie tells him he'll arrange for him to have the surgery in exchange for Sully's help.

With added dashes of Pocahontas and Ferngully. The plot is VERY derivative. All of the money went into the world building and stunning visuals and not so much on the writing or plot development.

I still remember going to the Pandora part of Animal Kingdom during my 2019 visit and talking to another visitor while in line for Flight of Passage. He admitted he'd never seen the movie. I wonder how many people who visit that part of the park have never seen the movie and maybe don't even know there IS a movie and think it's something Disney just made up for the park.
