Availibility in July

Hi everyone. I have a question for the DVC experts. We are in the process of purchasing a DVC resale for SSR. It is currently in the hands of Disney's review. Let's assume for the moment that everything will be completed with this transaction by the first of June. With that being the case, do you think that there will be availability in any of the resorts for a week in the middle of July? We could get by with either a studio or 1 bedroom. In looking at the Resort Reservation Availability section for July, I would think that something would be open for us, but I would like to hear from the experts.

When reserving in last 60 days before a date, you are also competing with regular guests because DVC can attempt to rent any units and thus getting anything 60 days or less out can be difficult. Nevertheless, mid-July is a fairly slow DVC time and you have a decent chance for SSR.

About two weeks ago I got BWV Perferred view 1 Bedroom for July 6th to the 9th. Studio was not an option.

No gurantees and you have to be flexible. I didn't WANT a 1 bedroom, but since my friends are at BWV I took what I could get.

We go for 2 weeks each July, and it's not as slow a DVC time as people think. We've been calling a lot lately to make changes, and there is not that much availability at this point except for SSR and OKW, but they usually always have availability, so you should be able to snag something at either of these properties.

I wish you luck - MS is great in working out different scenarios, depending upon what your needs are. We also own at SSR, so if this is all that is available, you will have a great time as it's a great resort!
