Good luck. For us it is 5 nights in a 1 BR @ VGF. We would never spend that many points ordinarily since it is just 2 of us, but since we messed ourselves up point-wise and borrowed more than we needed we figured why not splurge on it this time around.
Interesting that Chat was able to help. Seems like usually when the online tool goes down that CM can't help. Makes me wonder what they were actually doing, particularly since rather than some days coming back during the next 60 they seem to have removed through July 4......
Take this with a grain of salt considering the down time last night, but my wife just chatted w/a CM and was told it really was just a lot of bookings happening in a very short period of time.
I’m pretty skeptical that for the entirety of the months of May and June, not one room in any category, at any resort including non-Orlando locations are 100% booked and it all happened within a couple days. Just by virtue of waitlists in constant motion, there should be some movement.
I watch availability multiple times a day on a daily basis. Yes, studios have been sparse for awhile but, there were still some scattered dates even as of last week. There have been some very peculiar occurrences within the last few days that you don’t typically see even with 60 days breakage. Especially, given the massive inventory that showed available all of a sudden, then just as fast, not one single room in any category at ALL resorts.
I had the same issue. Is there certain number of days one would have to book a walking reservation to be safe from being blocked out? I had three nights but it wasn’t enough.
I have the same issue. I had a walk going 11 months from today for an AKLvalue, but now I can't continue it because there are 3 unavailable days in the middle of the walk. I have had something like this happen before and it was a glitch and worked it self out sometime that same day, and I continued my walk successfully. However, I doubt that will happen this time because I don't think today is the glitch. I think the glitch was yesterday when there was >2 weeks of AKL value rooms available on the website. I think those weren't really available but people booked them anyway. Meaning that people booked the whole first week of April (yesterday booked March 28-April 4). So they have it booked, but it wasn't really available. But I think Disney has to honor their booking, they did nothing wrong, so they will probably just be upgraded from value to std or something. However, that messes up my walk (and your walk) because we were walking based on the premise that noone could get ahead of us, and they shouldn't have been able to (except there was a glitch showing false availabilty, so they did).
There are several threads on this topic. Theory is they pulled them for breakage (moving to cash side). This is allowed at the 60 day and under mark.
