Availability Question on the DVC website

Hi-we're renting points for Bay Lake Tower this summer. We're in a 1 bedroom, and a co-worker of mine is a DVC member. She logged on to look at the availability for me (we were thinking of switching to a 2 bedroom if one was available). All our dates are available except one day. If the person I rented from calls member services, is that availability any different then what we're seeing on the DVC website? I know the person I rent from (I've been renting from him for a few years), always calls to book for me, he doesn't use their website.
If the availability is the same, then could he go on a waitlist for me in case that 1 day opens up?

No, that availability is what it is.

It is really up to the member if he wants to wait list for you, or if he has the points for the more expensive booking.
